Synopsis

Three engaging short stories for readers in second through fourth grade—but sure to captivate younger children as well. Each story imparts important and relatable life lessons that children of various ages can understand and apply. 
THE LAND OF NO RULES: Tommy is upset because his parents' rules stop him from doing what he wants. That night, he dreams of a world without rules, but things quickly go wrong. By morning, Tommy realizes rules have an important purpose, and he apologizes for his behavior. 
THE NEW SCHOOL: Rosie is nervous and sad about moving to a new town. She has to leave her school, her friends, and all the familiar places she loves. But everything changes when she makes a new friend on her first day of school. 
THE PICKY EATER: Vincent refuses to try new foods because he doesn't like unfamiliar tastes or textures. After sneaking into the kitchen late at night to eat his favorite foods, he finds that nothing tastes right-except the family's dinner. He decides trying new foods might not be so bad after all.
