Beschreibung

Tactical Espionage explores the hidden world where nations engage in shadow wars, using intelligence and covert operations to gain strategic advantages. It delves into the evolution of espionage, from ancient methods to modern cyber warfare, revealing how these tactics have shaped global conflicts. The book dissects significant covert operations, analyzing their planning, execution, and impact on political and military outcomes.

Understanding espionage is crucial because it's not just a supplementary tool but a fundamental driver of geopolitical power. The book analyzes the structures and functions of prominent intelligence agencies like the CIA, MI6, and the KGB, illustrating how these organizations operate within and outside conventional warfare. It begins with foundational concepts like tradecraft and intelligence gathering (SIGINT, HUMINT) before moving into detailed case studies.

By drawing on declassified documents, historical archives, and memoirs, Tactical Espionage provides a balanced, evidence-based view, avoiding sensationalism while offering a comprehensive understanding of espionage as an instrument of state power. The book progresses through chapters that explore foundational concepts, detailed case studies of covert operations, and the role of intelligence agencies. Concluding chapters synthesize these insights, offering a framework for understanding the future of espionage in the digital age and discussing the ethical implications of covert actions.

This makes the book valuable for students, policymakers, security professionals, and anyone interested in the complex world of international relations.

In search of leadership in Waldorf schools.
Leadership in Waldorf schools has a specific history. Whereas 40 years ago it was hardly allowed to formally exist because it represented power and hierarchy, now it is commonplace to have a headmaster, rector or director. In this book, Hans Passenier examines the development of leadership and organisation in Waldorf schools. He starts at the origins and finds principles that can help develop school organisations and their leadership in the future. In four parts, he unfolds the foundations, the tools to develop leadership and organisations and finally describes exercises to support that development as a school community.
His thesis is that education is about children being diverse, having different abilities. Also that the educator should not be a carpenter, but a gardener. The image of the school as an organism is guiding, in which the school community is a place for the inner development of each individual in that school community.
The horizontal and vertical dimensions guide the view of both leadership and organisational design.

“You were born to fail. You were born to kneel for those who are more capable.”
Volunteering at the Olympics means servicing the athletes in any way they require. These men know what they want, and they expect obedience.
    But…it’s getting strange.
A gymnast placed a “boycollar” around my neck. He made me watch while he pleasured himself. He made me kneel for him on international television. He made me do foul, degenerate things with the gym equipment.
This is a side of the Olympics I never knew about.
    I love volunteering…

Michael Faraday was born in Newington Butts, Surrey, on September twenty-second, 1791. (which is now part of the London District of Southwark). He grew up in a bad home. His dad, James, was a Christian who came from the Glasite sect. At the time of the winter season of 1790, James Faraday moved his marriage partner and 2 kids from Outhgill, Westmorland, where he had been an apprentice to the town blacksmith. In the fall of that year, Michael was born. Michael Faraday, the 3rd of 4 kids, needed to inform himself after getting just a primary school education.
He started working as an apprentice to George Riebau, a regional bookbinder and bookseller on Blandford Street, when he was fourteen years of age.
Faraday read a lot of literature throughout his seven-year apprenticeship, and that includes Isaac Watts' “The Improvement of the Mind”, which he actively adopted the concepts and recommendations in. He also ended up being intrigued by physics, specifically electrical power. Jane Marcet's book Discussions on Chemistry was specifically motivating to Faraday.
Let’s see what else he did. In this comprehensive guide, you will find out more.

The world of 2025 feels more fragile than ever. From the war in Ukraine and rising tensions in the Taiwan Strait, to proxy battles in the Middle East and the militarization of the Arctic, global flashpoints are multiplying. Technology, cyberattacks, nuclear weapons, and fragile alliances create a dangerous mix where one mistake could ignite World War 3.
This audiobook explores the reality behind the headlines and asks the urgent question: how close are we, really, to a global conflict?
    You will discover:

The regions most likely to spark escalation — Ukraine, Taiwan, the Middle East, and beyond. How cyber warfare, AI, and hypersonic missiles are changing the rules of conflict. Why nuclear deterrence, once a safeguard, may now be the greatest risk of all.How alliances like NATO can both protect and endanger global stability. The psychology of leaders under pressure, and why miscalculation could be catastrophic.
Neutral, clear, and unsettling, World War 3: How Close Are We Really? is not about panic — it’s about awareness. It shows the fragile silence holding our world together, and reminds us that the future is not written.
The storm hasn’t started yet. But the silence is breaking.

The Apology is Plato's version of the speech given by Socrates as he defended himself in 399 BC against the charges of "corrupting the young, and by not believing in the gods in whom the city believes, but in other daimonia that are novel" . "Apology" here has its earlier meaning of speaking in defense of a cause or of one's beliefs or actions. The general term apology, in context to literature, defends a world from attack (opposite of satire-which attacks the world).the text is written in the first person from Socrates' point of view, as though it were Socrates' actual speech at the trial. During the course of the speech, Socrates twice mentions Plato as being present. There is, however, no real way of knowing how closely Socrates' words in the Apology match those of Socrates at the actual trial, even if it was Plato's intention to be accurate in this respect
