As you may already know, I am a professional engineer (M.Eng.) and in my books I try to teach you technical processes and how to use software in the easiest and most playful way possible. In this book we will get to know four more projects for designing 3D objects in "Tinkercad". Some of them are very complex, while others are a bit easier to create. But don't worry, we will work through these projects together and step by step. This will help you to become even more familiar with the features of "Tinkercad" and also to learn some new approaches for developing your own 3D models. The more guided practice you have, the better you will be able to handle more complex projects of your own.Take a look inside and get your copy in e-book or paperback! No matter how old you are, whether you are still in school, an adult, a student, or a retiree, this book will help you learn quickly and easily with the help of numerous illustrations. Orthopedics is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders. These disorders affect the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves, and can result from trauma, wear and tear, congenital conditions, or diseases. The field of orthopedics aims to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance the overall quality of life for individuals suffering from musculoskeletal problems. Orthopedic care encompasses both surgical and non-surgical treatments, depending on the condition and the patient’s needs.
The role of an orthopedic surgeon extends beyond just performing surgeries. They play a crucial part in diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions, creating treatment plans, and guiding patients through recovery. Orthopedic surgeons often collaborate with physical therapists, radiologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care. They manage conditions ranging from acute fractures and dislocations to chronic disorders like arthritis and osteoporosis. Orthopedic surgeons also handle congenital deformities, sports injuries, and complex musculoskeletal trauma. Their expertise lies not only in performing surgeries such as joint replacements and spinal surgeries but also in using advanced diagnostic tools to assess conditions accurately.
The history of orthopedics dates back to ancient times when early physicians attempted to treat broken bones using splints and other rudimentary methods. Over the centuries, the field has evolved, incorporating advancements in medical science, technology, and surgical techniques. In the 19th century, orthopedics began to emerge as a distinct medical specialty, with pioneers such as Hugh Owen Thomas, often referred to as the “father of orthopedics,” contributing significantly to the development of orthopedic practices.

"Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison: The Rival Inventors Who Powered the Modern Era" is an enthralling two-in-one volume that unites the remarkable stories of two of history's most extraordinary inventors. Authored by Michael W. Simmons, this composite work weaves together the parallel narratives of Tesla and Edison, whose innovations and rivalry forged the path of the technological age.
The first section, derived from "Nikola Tesla: Prophet of The Modern Technological Age," immerses readers in the mysterious and groundbreaking world of Nikola Tesla. Renowned for inventions like the induction motor and contributions to electrical engineering, Tesla's life was filled with achievements that bordered on the magical. This book takes readers from Tesla's extraordinary childhood experiences in Croatia, through his fierce competition with Edison, to his ambitious projects that revolutionized technology and occasionally, like in New York, almost literally shook the world. Relationships with key figures such as Mark Twain, J.P. Morgan, and Albert Einstein are explored, revealing the depth of Tesla's impact in various spheres.
Transitioning to "Thomas Edison: American Inventor," the second section of the book, readers encounter the quintessential story of American innovation. Edison's journey from conducting experiments in his youth to inventing the phonograph and the incandescent light bulb is a testament to his inventive genius. Through Edison’s personal writings and contemporary accounts, the book vividly brings to life the experience of witnessing Edison's inventions for the first time. His friendships with notable individuals like Henry Ford and his wartime efforts offer a comprehensive view of a man whose inventions illuminated the world.
Together, these stories form "Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison a compelling narrative.
