Synopsis

In the summer of 2004 Julien Smith returns home to the mountains of far Northern California broken and morally injured. As his journey unfolds over the course of a year, we come to know his family and the interwoven stories of the beautifully flawed people of Green valley. 
ELEGANT WILD LUMINOUS 
The Nest of Our Being explores the random ways of fate. Cat longs to reach out to Julien, despite their unspeakable past. Five years later she still wonders how such an evil act could create something so innocent and precious. 
RAW MAGICAL DANGEROUS 
The story pivots and turns as Julien’s mother, along with her circle of eccentric women friends, attempts to guide her gifted young granddaughter safely through the portals of ancestral knowing. 
RICHLY IMAGINED UPLIFTING WISE 
Both wonder and terror impact our lives, but the solid bedrock of family and our connection with wild nature, strengthen the ties that bind us to our fragile yet miraculous humanity.
