Being the first-born in royalty meant Alexander was destined to be king. But he did not want that; he does not want to be king. He wants to leave his kingdom and responsibilities behind. He wants freedom. He has four younger brothers and a sister, all of whom would succeed better at the role. He would do anything to stop his coronation. 
On the harrowing day, the worst happens. His youngest brother falls dead before the crown sits on Alexander's head. As death hovers over the kingdom of Tavia, Alexander goes on a self-proclaimed mission to find the culprit. Along the way, he uncovers secrets hidden within the castle walls that may force him to accept his dreaded fate after all.
