Synopsis

"Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus" is a novel written by English author Mary Shelley, first published in 1818. It tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a grotesque creature through an unorthodox scientific experiment. Shelley began writing the story when she was 18, and it was published when she was 20.
