Synopsis

I have been blessed, with the privilege; of writing this book. To tell the story of each, of my family members; as best I can remember with honesty and dignity, for them. Depicting events in their individual journey. Many tears, laughs, sorrow, memories and struggles have overwhelmed my life; and that of my surviving family. Even though I myself, have walked through the shadow of death. Gods mercy and grace have carried me, and guided my every step; and given me the strength to get up every day with gratefulness and praise for, my Lord. For he is truly the God of the Valley.

    You Are The Waking Buddha

The concept of the "Waking Buddha" is a profound and transformative idea deeply rooted in Zen Buddhism. It encapsulates the essence of Zen practice, where awakening to one's true nature is not relegated to some far-off spiritual attainment but is a lived reality, an ever-present possibility. In this essay, we will explore the notion of the Waking Buddha, what it means, and how it pertains to our daily lives.

The Waking Buddha represents the idea that enlightenment is not an abstract, unattainable goal but an immediate, tangible experience available to each one of us. It is not something to be achieved in a distant future but a realization that can happen here and now. The essence of this concept is mindfulness—being fully present in the current moment, aware of our thoughts, emotions, and surroundings. When we cultivate this awareness, we awaken the Buddha nature that resides within us.

Zen teachings emphasize the importance of direct experience over intellectual understanding. The Waking Buddha is about transcending the limitations of the thinking mind and experiencing reality directly. It involves letting go of attachments, judgments, and preconceived notions, allowing the true self to shine forth. This awakening is not reserved for a select few but is a birthright of every sentient being, waiting to be uncovered through diligent practice.

The path to becoming the Waking Buddha is not without its challenges. It demands commitment, patience, and a willingness to confront our own inner turmoil. Zen practitioners engage in meditation, mindfulness, and koan practice to break free from the confines of the ego and awaken to their true nature. Koans are paradoxical questions or statements used in Zen practice to provoke deep insight. They challenge the thinking mind, pushing it beyond its logical boundaries and into a realm of direct experience.

Hiding In Plain Sight: The False...

In Hiding In Plain Sight Vol. II, I tackle Adventist doctrines and beliefs about jewellery, attire, cosmetics, and fashion; tithing; theology of the Law; theology of the Sabbath and the most popular proof-texts they use to mandate Sabbath-keeping for Christians today. I give special attention to all of the arguments they have invented in attempts to extricate the weekly Sabbath from Colossians 2:16-17 and refute them. I delve into their theology of the Sabbath being the seal of God and Sunday worship soon-to-be the dreaded Mark of the Beast, and their anticipation of the United States of America passing and enforcing national and global Sunday Laws.
The SDA Church cockily sees itself as the only true church that God has in these last days. It believes that it is the ultimate and final fountain of all biblical truth and knowledge. I put their views and arguments of exclusive remnant church status to the test in several chapters. Because of its exclusive remnant claims and theology, Adventism is very inimical towards the Roman Catholic Church and Protestant Christianity. You will see why they are so hostile towards both church groups.
Lastly, Adventist evangelistic tactics in many countries around the world have always been deceptive, sneaky, and subversive. This has puzzled a lot of Christians for years. You will understand why they operate the way they do with their literature and evangelism. Deception is embedded in their evangelistic strategies.
Weighed against contextual exposition of Scripture, the Gospel, and historical doctrines of the Christian faith, the doctrines, interpretations, worldview, and aberrant teachings of Seventh-day Adventism are patently false, and some heretical.

What if you’re struggling to believe that God is truly faithful? The Bible teaches that God is always faithful, that He’s always TRUE to HIS WORD. Saints throughout history have affirmed it, and hymns and worship songs celebrate it. But what if it doesn’t look that way to you? You’re not alone. The Bible is full of examples of God’s children struggling to trust him in seasons of disappointment, discouragement, danger, disaster, depression, and deep grief—only to see God’s faithfulness to them manifest in surprising ways. These meditations are designed to help you grow in your ability to recognize God’s faithfulness in places you may not typically look, at times you don’t expect, and in providences—especially the most disturbing and devastating ones—that often don’t look like God’s faithfulness. Because the more you see it, the more wonderful God’s faithfulness becomes to you. And the more you’ll realize that “all the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness” (Psalm 25:10). Because God is faithful, we can fight the good fight . . . one day at a time, by trusting that He will always be true to His Word.
