Robert Price wakes up in an underground facility with four other teenage captives. Using a newly discovered super drug, these five teenagers are invited to ride old memories back in time to save lost loved ones. Blake Carson, the architect of their abductions, has considerably more sinister plans, and these teenagers are his ticket to the past. Long ago, in what we shall call the before time, before the emergence of the great civilizations, human beings lived closer to nature and the natural world. Most people lived in family farms which surrounded the towns and villages they frequented for weekly markets and items they needed. It was in these central towns were where the merchants and tradespeople lived. Living away from the towns, and therefore infrequently interacting with other humans, were the witches and the wizards. Witches were the equivalent of what we today might consider a doctor and they typically lived in the woods or other convenient location for them to collect the herbs, roots and other ingredients they required to prepare medicines. Wizards were repositories of knowledge and as such were often sought out for advice. They could most often be found wandering from town to town and typically made their homes in caves. Back in the before time, humans not only recognized the other creatures who inhabited the earth but also took the opportunities to communicate with them. It would not have been uncommon for a human then to spend time talking to a raven, a fox, or a deer while on a walk through the forest. Similarly, the races of the Bogheys and the Gwyllion were well known to humans and interacted with them routinely. But with the rise of civilization, humans decided that they should have dominion over the earth. As a result, wild animals learned to fear them, and the other races have been condemned to myth. Sheila’s Erotic Fantasy World stories are set in this before time. This guide explains who the Bogheys are, where they live, and any special features they have.

From Hugo and Nebula winner Theodore Sturgeon comes a seeming utopia: a world with only one gender and no poverty, pollution, or war—but at what cost?

Charlie Johns has been snatched from his home on Earth and delivered to the strange future world of Ledom. Technology has triumphed over hunger, overpopulation, pollution, and even time and space. But there is a change Charlie finds even more shocking: Gender is a thing of the past. Gone are the tensions between male and female. Gone is the human preoccupation with sex.

As Charlie explores Ledom and its people, he finds his engrained human precepts are profane in this new world. But then why are his hosts so eager for his approval? Something isn't right about Ledom's ideal existence. And when cracks begin to appear in its flawless façade, Charlie must unearth the city's terrible secrets . . . before it's too late.

Theodore Sturgeon's visionary tale is literary science fiction at its most brazen and inventive. A scathing critique of American puritanism that unabashedly explores questions of sexuality and gender, it remains as relevant, insightful, provocative, and troubling as when it first appeared in print.
