Beschreibung

Katherine Bingham’s father has betrothed her to an older man she cannot love, preferring this over living with a parent who believes her guilty of murder and insanity. She reluctantly chooses to marry the Duke of Ashton, George Fairfax, despite knowing her life will be miserable. However, while staying with the Fairfax family before the wedding, she unexpectedly falls in love with the duke’s nephew, Nicholas. 
  
Destined for a lonely life, Nicholas is torn between honoring his dying uncle’s last wish and being with the woman who makes him happy.
