Stanislaus and Cecylia Witkowski were born and grew up in Poland in the early twenties, at a time of relative peace in that troubled country's history. They met, fell in love, and planned to spend the rest of their lives together. Fate stepped in when Poland was invaded by both Germany and Russia in September, 1939. Like so many, the young lovers were parted and the course of their lives changed forever.
True love sees hope in the bleakest of situations, recognises no boundaries and surmounts the insurmountable. Stan and Cecylia's story is played out against the background of the events of the war in Europe and, later, in Australia, as immigrants with no knowledge of the language nor the customs of their adopted country. Despite extreme difficulties and sometimes seemingly impossible odds, Stan and Cecylia remained firm in their resolve to stay together.

»We are at a turning point in human history. To stop climate breakdown and extinction, environmental movements need to be actively anti-racist and join struggles for social justice.«Carola RacketeIn 2019, Carola Rackete became publicly known for docking the sea rescue vessel »Sea-Watch 3« in Italy and thereby challenging a nationaldecree that contradicted internationalobligations to engage in sea rescue. Due to this act of civil disobedience and her public confrontation of the Italian far right and the structural racism of the EU's Fortress Europe policy, Carola became a powerful symbol for people seeking to take practical action for a world based on justice and equality. Carola has worked in the polar regions since 2011 and holds a degree in natural resources management. Consequently, her book shows how the ecological crises we are facing today are rooted in social and political power structures. The book details moments of the rescue mission but also connects the dots to forced migration and the urgency of our environmental predicament. Overall, it is a call to engage and act to become part of initiatives and movements struggling for social and environmental justice. This version of the book includes a new afterword focused on centring justice and human rights in nature and biodiversity conservation-a topic often overlooked by climate activists in the Global North. The authors will donate the revenue from this book to the association borderline-europe-Menschenrechte ohne Grenzen e.V. in order to launch a new criminalization fund. The money from this fund will be used to support refugees who are criminalized in the EU for fleeingtoEurope.Acknowledgements: This audio book has been made possible by the voluntary contributions of many people, most notably Marysa Abbas who is the voiceover artist of this audioproject, Diane Hielscher who provided her studio "LifeX Lab-wir machen Medien für eine neue Welt" for the recordings and production, Céline Keller who contributed the cover art, Alfio Furnari from Borderline-Europe who managed administration and contracts, the management of liberaudio as well as Anne Weiss who got the projectrolling and connected everyone. Across the globe there are tales of giants. Ancient, wise and enigmatic. What were they? Are they humans? Men of renown from forgotten times? Are they some kind of genetic ancestor to humanity? Or is there another truth?

The tales tell us they fell to Earth with special knowledge and held dominion over mankind. They were different to humans, lived for thousands of years and had a special knowledge of the heavens. They can be found in all cultures and religions. These special creatures were aliens from another world who came in ancient times. They genetically manipulated mankind and fought great battles. This is their story.

In the intricate tapestry of human emotions, few threads are as pervasive and powerful as the fear of rejection. "Rejected" explores how this primal fear shapes men's lives, relationships, and identities – often without their conscious awareness. Drawing on Robert Moore's archetypal framework, this groundbreaking audiobook reveals how the four masculine archetypes – King, Warrior, Magician, and Lover – offer complementary pathways to transform rejection from a devastating blow into a catalyst for growth. Each archetype brings unique strengths: the King's inner sovereignty that transcends external validation; the Warrior's disciplined action that converts setback into forward momentum; the Magician's transformative perspective that extracts wisdom from painful experience; and the Lover's capacity to remain open-hearted despite vulnerability. Through practical exercises, real-world applications, and powerful personal stories, listeners will discover how integrating these archetypes creates not just resilience, but true antifragility – becoming STRONGER because of rejection rather than despite it. This isn't about eliminating the fear of rejection – it's about developing a relationship with fear that empowers rather than inhibits. For any man who has ever held back from pursuing dreams, expressing his authentic self, or forming meaningful connections due to rejection fear, this audiobook offers a transformative path forward.

Cassandra Snow's groundbreaking Queering the Tarot helped change the shape of tarot discourse for scores of new readers to reclaim this ancient practice in their own way. Tarot in Other Words opens doors for these brilliant tarotists, offering unique insights and concepts for tarot readers of all levels. Queerness will be a thematic thread running throughout the project, with individual essays tackling a variety of topics that expand on that theme in new and compelling ways.

Presented in two parts, the anthology comprises ten essays that shine a light on the tarot from multiple queer perspectives. Understanding queerness—and why it matters in tarot—can teach all of us so much about not just gender and sexuality but also how and why we should liberate ourselves in the first place. These essays on queerness show us that who we are is right, beautiful, and sacred. Queerness teaches us to honor differences in others and understand that what is good for one may not be good for all. There is a historical basis for why tarot and queerness go hand in hand: for a lot of cultures, such as the Romani and other oppressed groups forced into nomadic lifestyles, fortune-telling using cards and other tools was and is to this day survival work. This is the same reason we see so many queer, BIPOC, and disabled people take up tarot in the US.
