Synopsis

In these raw and uncompromising stories, desire emerges from silence, challenge, and friction—between bodies, between men. Manuel García explores erotic tension where it often hides: behind masculine pride, in shared glances, in the weight of what remains unsaid. His men are real—virile, hard-working, often rough. But when need surfaces, it does so with heat, power, and no apologies.

The Indiscreet Doctor, the title story, begins with a simple case of back pain and ends in a moment that reshapes the narrator’s understanding of his own body. Dr. Becker, a stoic, broad-shouldered physiotherapist, offers more than just clinical relief. In the silence of the treatment room—under hands that know where to press and how deep to go—boundaries blur, and something raw awakens.

“Undress and lie down,” he said, handing me a towel. His hands were strong—calloused but precise. I felt the weight of them on my back, the heat of his skin near mine. A murmur of pain. A slow pull of pleasure. And when I woke, confused and aroused, my body remembered something I couldn’t explain—only feel.

These are stories where masculinity isn’t just performed—it’s lived in sweat, in discomfort, in need. Where arousal doesn’t ask for permission and tenderness hides behind firm hands and silent gazes. The Indiscreet Doctor is not romance. It’s carnal memory—the kind that stirs again when the door closes and you’re finally alone.

“First-class . . . more than the biography of a great aviator and military leader. It also is a detailed and lively history of naval aviation.” —The New York Times Air Adm. Marc Mitscher is a legend in military circles for developing an entirely new concept of war at sea. His skills as both a carrier tactician and genius for leading men rank him with the best World War II combat commanders. However, because Mitscher shunned publicity and destroyed his private papers shortly before his death in 1947, his accomplishments are not widely known. In this outstanding biography, Theodore Taylor traces the aviator’s brilliant career from its beginnings and makes clear the major role played by the admiral in developing the Navy’s air program, providing a lively and detailed history of the progress of naval aviation. “The likable personality and day by day achievements of Mitscher shine through to lift this above the run of the mill military biography.” —Kirkus Reviews

India has been the location of many different empires throughout its long history. The Indus Valley Civilization was home to one of the world’s first civilizations more than 5,000 years ago, which was followed by the Aryan-Vedic culture and then a host of other kingdoms that flourished across the Sub-Continent. India has also been the birthplace of many religions. The Vedic religion of the Aryans evolved into the Hindu religion, and Buddhism and Jainism were also born in India. By the Middle Ages, India was home to many different religions and ethnic groups, with dozens of languages being spoken, making India less of a single, unified country and more of a land of many countries. Despite India’s tradition of cultural and political pluralism, several rulers attempted to place the entire Sub-Continent under the rule of one dynasty or government with a dominant religion. Most of these would-be rulers were far from successful, although a few came close, setting the template for later conquerors.
The Delhi Sultanate was comprised of five dynasties that expanded their borders, and Islam, at sword point, but also through diplomacy and trade. The Delhi Sultanate became known as a state that welcomed the expertise of foreigners, no matter their religion, and promoted the welfare of its citizens through a host of social programs. Eventually, the Delhi Sultanate grafted ideas and inspiration from India’s pre-Islamic past with those of Islam to create a state that was quite unique and powerful. The Delhi sultans were themselves descended from Turks and brought with them ideas from Persia. Furthermore, as their empire grew, they invited scholars from throughout the Islamic world to their country, and as Muslim scholars, scientists, and administrators from the Near East made their way into India, the Delhi sultans also incorporated some of the cultural ideas of the native Hindu Indians to create a state that was as unique as any the world had ever seen.

Greek mythology is a collection of ancient stories that have been passed down for centuries, each telling tales of gods, heroes, and creatures that shaped the ancient Greek world. These myths were more than just stories; they were a way for the ancient Greeks to understand the world around them, the forces of nature, and the workings of their society. Through mythology, they explained the origin of the world, the relationships between gods and mortals, and the struggles that defined human existence. In this book, we’ll explore some of the most important myths, focusing on the gods, goddesses, and heroes that continue to capture the imagination of children and adults alike.
One of the fascinating aspects of Greek mythology is its variety. From the mighty Zeus, ruler of the heavens, to the brave Heracles, known for his twelve famous labors, each story is filled with adventure, mystery, and valuable life lessons. These stories often involve epic journeys, fierce battles, and daring feats, but they also teach lessons about friendship, loyalty, bravery, and the consequences of pride. As we dive into the myths, you’ll encounter gods who control the elements, heroes who fight against impossible odds, and creatures like the mighty Minotaur and the terrifying Medusa, all of whom play essential roles in the adventures that make up these ancient tales.
Greek mythology also has a special connection to the human experience. Although the gods were powerful, they had their flaws—jealousy, pride, and anger—making them relatable to people of all ages. The gods’ actions often mirrored the struggles and emotions that humans face every day. While gods and goddesses lived in a realm above humanity, they frequently interacted with mortals, and their actions had direct consequences for the human world.
