Synopsis

It is the year 1915, and the British and Ottoman Empires clash in a deadly struggle in the Middle East.

Tasked with keeping the Ottomans out of Suez Canal, Major Andrew Selkirk discovers that his real assignment is to retrieve a Bengali spy working for those who vow to see British rule out of India.

After landing on the west coast of Palestine, Selkirk discovers the Ottomans have taken the spy captive. Even more troubling are the plans by Ottomans and Germans to draw Afghanistan and Persia into the war against Great Britain.

Fighting a personal feud with a vengeful German, Selkirk leads his men across strife-torn Palestine: a land that everybody claims as their own.

USA Today bestselling author, Jane Anthony, delivers a provocative tale of lust, love, and all-out war. Opposites attract when Dylan Masters—a golden boy from a wealthy political family—meets Darla Burke—smart-mouthed waitress with a big attitude—on their angst-fueled road from hate to love.

    Rich. Spoiled. Cocky. Playboy.

Dylan Masters is the worst. Our only date ended with me doing the walk of shame with his taste still lingering on my tongue. I never expected to see him again . . . nor did I want to.

But when he walks into my restaurant the next morning, I have no choice but to serve him lunch with a smile. Turns out, Dylan isn't just a date gone wrong—he's the governor’s son. He's as callous as he is gorgeous. A golden boy set up for a charmed life, and I'm nothing more than "the help."

Yet it doesn't stop his ravenous pursuit to get my attention. He expects me to worship him like everyone else, but he could choke on his silver spoon for all I care. Hate and love are two sides of the same coin. If he wants my heart, he'll have to work harder.

In a world where cash is king, Dylan Masters finally found the one thing he wants that money can't buy: me.

Earth lies devastated and empty. Over 99.6% of the population have succumbed to the deadly ESH virus. More have perished in the civil wars and anarchy that followed. With humanity on the brink of extinction, most made infertile by the virus, newly-elected President Madeline Chen is forced to make unthinkable choices—robbing millions of their basic human rights to ensure mankind's survival.
But suddenly, mankind faces the opposite problem. A 14-kilometer asteroid is hurtling towards the planet—one larger than the one that wiped out the dinosaurs.
Survival requires escaping off-world before impact, or huddling for safety deep beneath the Earth—and there's only limited space either way. Earth's 14 million survivors have suddenly gone from too few to far too many.
G581: Earth is the third novel in Christine D. Shuck's immersive Gliese 581 science fiction series. It blends science fiction with achingly human, character-driven stories proven by recent headlines to be terrifyingly plausible—making this book a compelling choice for those who appreciate both Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and Arthur C. Clarke’s The Hammer of God.

After manifesting thorned magic and nearly destroying his hometown, Kieren Belltower is summoned to join the Magic Service—an institution in charge of magical affairs—and start an apprenticeship with a high-ranking magician. But instead of the mage assigned to teach him, Kieren is greeted by his haughty and annoyingly handsome senior apprentice Esten, who clearly has more important things to do than chaperone some newbie.
Their teacher has disappeared on a secret assignment, leaving Esten no instructions other than a warning not to trust a soul. But as Kieren's unruly magic proves too dangerous to leave unattended, Esten has no choice but to involve him in the matter. Together they retrace their teacher's last known mission—an investigation into the illegal use of magic and its connection to the devastating phenomenon known as the sludge, which has plagued the country for weeks.
But as Kieren and Esten grow closer, they uncover a plot that thrusts their lives into danger and threatens to shatter everything they know about magic and the world they were born into.
"Packed with adventure, swoony romance, and of course, magic. This book will enchant you!" –– Adriana Mather, NYT Bestselling author of How to Hang a Witch series.

    Soren:

I've lived the last several years of my life under the control of my step-mother. Every decision taken away from me, completely suffocating me. At eighteen, she sold me off to the highest bidder and traded one gilded cage for another. I've never been anything but a dollar sign to her.

Until two years later Kade Luchetti kidnapped me from my tower, making me yet another dictator's rag doll. I have never known freedom; free to make the decisions that impact my life. But as time goes on under his watchful eyes, I feel I can finally take a breath. Maybe I won't always be a prisoner.

    Kade:

This life of bloodshed and violence, I was born into it. It's exhausting and I'm tired of it. My father has made it my sole duty to keep an eye on the broken mafia Princess. Just maybe, if I play my cards right, she could be my way out. A way to leave this life once and for all.

I didn't plan on falling in love with her—the glass pieces of her soul just as shattered as mine.
