Synopsis

When she arrives in Cherrywood Grove for a working vacation, shy photographer Trisha Ivy expects to kick back and relax, enjoying her last summer of freedom before turning into a real adult with a mortgage and a nine-to-five. After all, her real life is back in Chicago with her best friend Bella, not a sleepy small town. But Trisha keeps running into beautiful, confident Gabi Gonzalez, a caterer working all the same weddings…and she's the daughter of Trisha's favorite local TV star. Trisha can't resist getting to know her. After all, she's only in town for the summer, and Gabi is straight. What harm could it do?
Gabi Gonzalez has spent most of her life trying to escape Cherrywood Grove and find something bigger and better. During an internship in Milwaukee, she thought she'd finally found it. But after her father's sudden death, she returns home and tries to squeeze back into the same childhood roles: kid sister, cool aunt, tireless worker. She's just resigned herself to going through the motions when she meets Trisha, someone who finally sees Gabi for her own self instead of putting her in a box. Can Gabi open up to Trisha about what she really wants before Trisha leaves town for good?

At twenty-eight years old, Sam thought they were old enough to stop making terrible decisions. But taking a merc job for a human millionaire can’t be described as anything else. Neither can drinking so much fairy moonshine that you forget there are good reasons not to let yourself think with your…parts.
Hunting people is a whole different world than hunting supernatural beasts, and Sam and their guild might not come out on the winning side of this one. When the goons Sam is hired to track down fight back with magic, it rapidly becomes apparent that Theo isn’t telling the whole story about why people want him dead. Sam loses Fin and Emerson, and it takes drastic measures to get them back, including working with a bunch of assholes Sam knows better than to trust.
And why the hell do Sam’s most inconvenient shifter impulses choose now to kick in? Sometimes a half-human, half-monster, half-male, half-female fiend hunter just can’t catch a break….
    Author’s Note:
In my books you will find atypical characters and varied sexuality. You won’t find many alpha males or fainting females, and relationships may have a more poly feel.
Novellas in this series are between 35,000-45,000 words and contain: adult language, moderate levels of violence/gore/action, graphic sexual situations, polyamory/ multiple lovers. LBGTQ and straight themes (the main character is intersex and will have both male and female lovers, and this is a harem, so expect M/F, M/M, F/F, MMMFF etc.). As usual, my characters all have their own emotional scars. This means the book MAY contain mentions of abuse, unpleasant situations, etc. Please do not read if you are triggered by things like this. Occasional “cliff-hangers” or lead-ins to the next book may occur, though generally at least one major plot arc shows completion or at the very least, forward progress. Word count does not include teaser chapters or other fluff material at the end.

This is a book written primarily for gay Christians and those who love them. Part memoir, part pastoral-theological reflection, this book wrestles with three main areas of struggle that many gay Christians face: (1) What is God’s will for sexuality? (2) If the historic Christian tradition is right and same-sex behavior is ruled out, how should gay Christians deal with their resulting loneliness? (3) How can gay Christians come to an experience of grace that rescues them from crippling feelings of shame and guilt?Author Wesley Hill is not advocating that it is possible for every gay Christian to become straight, nor is he saying that God affirms homosexuality. Instead, Hill comes alongside gay Christians and says, “You are not alone. Here is my experience; it’s like yours. And God is with us. We can share in God’s grace.” While some authors profess a deep faith in Christ and claim a powerful experience of the Holy Spirit precisely in and through their homosexual practice, Hill’s own story, by contrast, is a story of feeling spiritually hindered, rather than helped, by his homosexuality. His story testifies that homosexuality was not God’s original creative intention for humanity—that it is, on the contrary, a tragic sign of human nature and relationships being fractured by sin—and therefore that homosexual practice goes against God’s express will for all human beings, especially those who trust in Christ. This book is written mainly for those homosexual Christians who are trying to walk the narrow path of celibacy and are convinced that their discipleship to Jesus necessarily commits them to the demanding, costly obedience of choosing not to nurture their homosexual desires. With reflections from the lives of Henri Nouwen and Gerard Manley Hopkins, Wesley Hill encourages and challenges Christians with homosexual desires to live faithful to God’s plan for human sexuality.
