Synopsis

This semi-autobiographical novel takes the listener through a journey of life as a working woman before and after the Civil War. This annotated edition of Work: A Story of Experience includes the unabridged novel by Louisa May Alcott, as well as a biography of the author, written by June Ann Bristol, exploring her life experiences in relation to those of the story’s protagonist.
