Synopsis

Mustangs wide receiver Ben Mayhew has been running for two years—away from the accident that tore his world apart, away from his aristocratic parents who don't understand him, and from the friends who sold him out to the tabloids. He's shielded his broken heart with arrogance and a bad attitude, and he's perfectly happy that way ... until he meets Nara Robinson. She finds the cracks in his armor, and for the first time in years, the future doesn't look miserable. But when his family threatens to disown him and strip him of his title, will he choose love or safety?  
Nara Robinson has always been the good girl—a bubbly cheerleader, a devoted sorority sister, a loyal daughter after her sister's overdose. But no matter how hard she tries to fake being perfect, Nara can't fake being happy. Then Nara meets Ben, and her good girl personality gets upended. Maybe being good is overrated. Maybe it's time to think about herself for once. One thing's for sure, she can't get Ben and the very bad things she wants to do with him out of her mind. If they can face their personal demons, Ben and Nara might find true happiness together. But can they overcome the darkness in their pasts?
