Synopsis

What is the definition of an apocalypse? When the word apocalypse is used, people immediately think of doomsday scenarios. On every street corner, they observe enormous mushroom clouds and scenes of widespread bloodshed and destruction.

The term apocalypse, on the other hand, has a vast definition. When teaching about the apocalypse, individuals often become overwhelmed as the details of the end times are explained. As the layers of Revelation are revealed one by one, it's natural to feel perplexed. It's easy to lose track of time in only a few minutes.

We can become so engrossed in the music that we become distracted by the notes on the paper rather than enjoying the song. We've been so preoccupied with minor things that we've lost sight of the greater picture...that God is in perfect charge.

The apocalypse is not meant to be perplexing; rather, it is meant to inspire confidence and tremendous hope in the hearts of believers. God will still be on the throne when the last word is said by the world's most powerful leaders.

Follow the Healer provides those in ministry with a practical theology of healing—helping you understand how Jesus heals and why we still need to participate.
It's easy to fall into one of two extremes when it comes to Christian healing: outright skepticism on one side and abuse on the other. Many of us have a lot of good and difficult questions:What is Christian healing ministry supposed to look like? How do we go about it?What forms and expressions should it take, and how do we evaluate it?How do we determine whether the healing ministry we are involved in is in keeping with what Jesus intended?

Starting from the assumption that Jesus does heal in our day and age, Follow the Healer seeks to answer these questions with a balanced, pastoral, and scriptural approach. This is a call to help you better understand and minister God’s healing to a world that is in so much pain.
You'll take a closer look at why Christian healing is still relevant and essential today and how to avoid the many difficulties, disappointments, and distortions that occur in healing ministry. Stephen Seamands draws upon over three decades of teaching theology and active involvement in healing ministry to help you grasp the "why-to" of healing that comes before the "how-to."
This holistic, Wesleyan approach to healing will help traditional evangelicals more readily embrace healing ministry and lead Pentecostals and charismatics already engaged in this ministry to move toward a more discerning approach to healing.

“Why is this happening to me?”
Maybe that’s a question you’ve asked yourself. If you have, you are not alone.
I’ve faced many battles in my life. I have survived eight heart operations, four of which were open-heart surgeries. I have nearly died on the operating table three times, and I was repeatedly told I would never physically excel...and yet, after much blood, sweat, tears, and prayer, I fulfilled an unimaginable childhood dream! The fact that I’m still alive and well and have achieved what I was told would be impossible is a journey I believe needs to be shared. My story is one of faith, healing, and, above all, hope.
Danny Covey lives in Embrun, Ontario, Canada, with his fantabulous wife, Carly, and their three children – Grant, Layla, and Carter. Danny is a creative renaissance man who fills his time as a graphic designer, illustrator, marketer, art instructor, and amateur video producer. dannycovey.com

Short, Accessible Book Explains the Essential Elements of God-Designed Worship
Are Christians worshiping God the way we want to or the way he commands us? People often base church attendance around music selection or teaching style, but worship according to our own desires leads to idolatry. Scripture shows us how to bring our focus back to God as we preach, pray, read, sing, and see his word.
In this addition to the Church Questions series, Erin Wheeler details the biblical elements of corporate worship and helps readers prepare their hearts to edify their local church family. Emphasizing the importance of following a gospel-centered practice rather than trends, Wheeler shows readers how they can express their praise to God through beautiful worship that glorifies him.

    - Brief, Applicable Guide: Developed to give biblical insight into common questions around corporate worship
    - Edifying for Church Seekers and Congregants: Convenient resource for those new to church or for Christians looking to grow in areas of praise and church participation
    - Part of the Church Questions Series: Other titles include What If I Don't Feel Like Going to Church?; Why Should I Join a Church?; and What Is the Church's Mission?

"Knowledge is indispensable to Christian life and service," writes John Stott. "If we do not use the mind which God has given us, we condemn ourselves to spiritual superficiality."
While Christians have had a long heritage of rigorous scholarship and careful thinking, some circles still view the intellect with suspicion or even as contradictory to Christian faith. And many non-Christians are quick to label Christians as anti-intellectual and obscurantist. But this need not be so.
In this classic introduction to Christian thinking, John Stott makes a forceful appeal for Christian discipleship that engages the mind as well as the heart.

A move across the country... A dowry that turns into a curse... A marshal that captures her heart...
After losing her mother at the tender age of five, all Rose wanted was the love of her father, not his money or the prominence in society that came with his name. But instead of reaching out and giving her the love and affection she so desperately needed, her father drowned his grief in his work, leaving Rose to the care of his servants and staff.
Rose grows into a beautiful and feisty yet serious young woman, but no matter how hard she tries to ignore the emptiness in her heart, it remains. Then, at her father’s untimely death, Rose is sent from the only home she has ever known in Boston to live with her uncle and his family, whom she hasn’t seen in over twelve years.
Terrified of the reception she’ll receive, Rose makes the journey alone and quickly realizes that her late father’s wealth has made her a target for not just journalists with an eye toward revenge but dowry hunters everywhere.
Will her relatives in Colorado take her in with open arms, or was this arrangement forced on them, and would it turn into another disappointment? And, is Rose’s future already sealed by a parade of lies, or is there hope for a happy ending and the healing of her orphaned heart?
