Life is sometimes a never-ending haze of mundane, meaningless activities for many of us. It makes sense why our bodies are complaining by getting sick so frequently and why our mental health is deteriorating.

Let's focus on the Japanese instead. There is another key to their long lives besides only their traditional, healthful food.

You can use it even though that secret is deeply ingrained in Japanese culture.

Ikigai - The common translation of this difficult Japanese concept is ""a reason for being"". You won't have to worry about finding inspiration or overcoming ennui once you've discovered your Ikigai. You simply do what you enjoy doing, and since you are such a skilled professional, other people really pay you a LOT OF MONEY for it!

     In this book, you will:

Understand how finding your Ikigai will make you happy and rich.
Learn how to achieve flow, a state of focused productivity.
Cope with life's challenges like a Japanese philosopher.
Become strong and resilient because you'll never lose sight of your purpose.
Use your newly-found potential to transform your life.

Finding your Ikigai can be challenging and often painful, especially when you realize how many years you've wasted by not living out your genuine purpose. It's never too late to start, though, and it's totally worth the effort!"

It's an autobiography mainly covering 35-years in the magazine publishing business featuring successes, failures, amazing people, and crazy stories that really happened. Arthur C. Brooks, The Atlantic wrote: "Humor is a serious business for happiness and cultivating humor in life, even during the darkest times, can be the secret to keeping us from despair." LAUGH EVERY DAY, NO MATTER WHAT illustrates the value of laughter in life during the good times and the bad.Included are funny anecdotes related to hockey, football, squash, scuba diving, and fly-fishing along with a cast of unique personalities. Excerpts from the Foreward, by Neil Morton, a former magazine writer, and editor: "From the first time I met Greg MacNeil in the 1990s when I was an intern on one of the publications the magazine mogul oversaw, I knew I was around someone genuinely unique and special. Indeed, everyone who has ever been around the guy for any length of time has the same sentiment: Boy, that Greg is a beauty, one of a kind!" The book covers the hurdles, the people, the magazine world, the highs, and lows, the defining moments, and the belly-ache laughter anecdotes. What you do with what you have and the cards you were dealt defines you. The above themes and messages are delivered loudly and clearly while listening to this entertaining gem that is like being at the best dinner party you've ever attended with non-stop stories, jokes, and wisdom."

The title page gives this book the subtitle, “True stories of the intrepid bravery and stirring adventures of missionaries with uncivilized man, wild beasts, and the forces of nature in all parts of the world.” The thrilling accounts in this collection include stories of Jacob Chamberlain’s medical ministry in India, the dangers faced by Alexander Mackay in Uganda, James Chalmers’ work among the headhunters of New Guinea, John Paton’s mission to the South Sea cannibals, and the Hawaiian queen Kapiolani’s challenge to the gods of the volcano. “Romantic” in the sense that these brave missionaries faced the unknown, but never “romanticized” – all sacrificed home and luxury, and many suffered the loss of family, fortune, and even their lives. (Summary by D. Leeson)

The fourth book in Dawn Dais's popular Sh!t No One Tells You series offers "been there, freaked out about that" advice for expectant parents
The fourth title in Dawn Dais's popular parenting series, The Sh!t No One Tells You About Pregnancy is quite possibly the funniest, and most heartfelt, yet. After all, pregnancy is not all about scanning Pinterest for baby shower themes and registering for ironic onesies, and sometimes the less flattering aspects of gestation have a way of dimming a bit of that so-called pregnancy glow.
Not to worry! Dawn is here, ready to shepherd you through the experience of one human body taking on the task of growing another human body. (Spoiler alert: It ain't always pretty.)
Dawn covers it all, sharing expert lists, tips, warnings, and even a series of Parent-Training Workouts designed to increase readers' tolerance to the various indignities of parenthood, like peeing with an audience and surviving an afternoon in Chuck E. Cheese.
The Sh!t No One Tells You About Pregnancy is a must-have guide for expectant moms (and their partners!) who are looking for some counsel, comedy, and camaraderie during their ultimate countdown to parenthood.
