Father Charles Coughlin was a controversial Canadian-American Catholic priest based in Michigan. Calling for monetary reforms, the nationalization of major industries and railroads, and protection of the rights of labor, Coughlin used weekly radio broadcasts to reach a mass audience of up to thirty million listeners during the 1930s.
An early supporter of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his New Deal, Coughlin later became a harsh critic. Coughlin’s commentary also became more anti-semitic, and he supported some of the fascist policies of Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito. As a result, many American Catholic leaders, as well as the Vatican, wanted Coughlin silenced. After the outbreak of World War II in 1939, the Roosevelt administration finally forced the cancellation of his radio program and forbade the dissemination of his newspaper, Social Justice.
In this recording, Coughlin the plight of farmers, oppressive bankers, and a living wage for American workers.

Human connections are at the core of society, influencing the way people think, behave, and interact. Social networks, both physical and digital, shape individual experiences and collective structures, determining everything from personal relationships to global movements. Understanding the science behind these connections provides insight into why people form relationships, how they maintain them, and the effects these relationships have on their lives.
The study of social networks is grounded in sociology, psychology, and network science. It examines how individuals are linked to one another through different types of relationships, ranging from close family bonds to distant acquaintances. Each person exists within a web of connections that influences their opportunities, behaviors, and even emotions. These networks function based on two primary types of ties: strong ties and weak ties. Strong ties refer to close relationships, such as family and close friends, that provide emotional support and trust. Weak ties, on the other hand, consist of acquaintances and distant connections that play a crucial role in spreading new ideas, job opportunities, and information.
One of the key concepts in the science of human connections is social capital, which refers to the value embedded in relationships. Social capital can provide tangible benefits, such as career advancement, and intangible advantages, such as emotional well-being and a sense of belonging.

Written in a non-technical style by two archaeologists and experienced writers about the past, the story begins with human origins in Africa some six million years ago and the spread of our remote ancestors across the Old World. Then we return to Africa and describe the emergence of Homo sapiens (modern humans) over 300,000 years ago, then, much later, their permanent settlement of Europe, Eurasia, Asia, and the Americas. From hunters and foragers, we turn to the origins of farming and animal domestication in different parts of the world after about 11,000 years ago and show how these new economies changed human existence dramatically. The narratives chronicle the rise and fall of civilizations, and the devastating effects of long droughts on many of them. The closing chapter poses a question: Why is world prehistory important in the modern world? What does it tell us about ourselves?

Providing a simple, but entertaining and stimulating, account of the prehistoric past from human origins to today from a global perspective, World Prehistory: The Basics is the ideal guide to the story of our early human past and its relevance to the modern world.

'The twenty-first century is the second, middle century of the three centuries of the present age of Michael, and it is the most decisive one. If humanity again misses Michael's goal, it will hardly be possible to recuperate from it, and human evolution will be derailed for a long time. The present age of Michael can therefore rightly be called 'the Apocalypse of the age of Michael'. – Yeshayahu Ben-Aharon
In five lively, challenging lectures, Dr Ben-Aharon offers encouraging perspectives on the apocalyptic challenges facing humanity. The key Michaelic task for human beings today, he says, is to comprehend fully the new revelation of the etheric Christ. On the success of this depends humanity's resurrection from the abyss – from the grave of civilization. However, it can still be achieved, and the time is at hand! The author describes the global School of Spiritual Science's contemporary work to create a path to conscious recognition of the Christ and Michael impulses.
Offering numerous fresh viewpoints into the trials of our time, The Time is at Hand! is an essential handbook for any serious student of anthroposophy. The talks (from 2017 and 2022) are titled: 'Ahrimanic Immortality, the Matrix and the Technological Singularity'; 'Michaelic Immortality'; 'The Two Apocalyptic Beasts and the Mystery of the Wound; 'Follow This Star'; and 'The Time is at Hand!'
