Ricky Monahan Brown suffered a massive haemorrhagic stroke in 2012. Doctors gave him a one-in-twenty chance of a good outcome, where a 'good outcome' would be surviving in a non-vegetative, non-plegic state. The resulting survival memoir, Stroke: A 5% Chance of Survival, became one of The Scotsman's Scottish Nonfiction Books of 2019. Ricky's short fiction has been widely published, including in 404 Ink literary magazine and the Dublin Inquirer. The live literature and music series he co-founded, Interrobang?! won the Saboteur Award for the Best Regular Spoken Word Night in Britain for 2017. A stroke awareness ambassador for the British Heart Foundation, Ricky lives in Edinburgh with his wife and their son.
Lowri Larsen is a writer based in Wales. She was awarded a first-class honours MA from University College Dublin. She was awarded a grant from Literature Wales to write this novella. The novella "Black Cat and The Japanese Umbrella" was longlisted for The Reflex Press Novella Award.
Laurence Klavan wrote the story collection, "'The Family Unit' and Other Fantasies," published by Chizine. An Edgar Award-winner, he received two Drama Desk nominations for the book and lyrics of "Bed and Sofa," the musical produced by the Vineyard Theater in New York and the Finborough Theatre in London. His graphic novels, "Brain Camp" and "City of Spies," co-authored with Susan Kim, were published by Chizine, and their YA fiction series, "Wasteland," was published by Harper Collins. Hawk Tanner is not a man of many words—especially if you're a silly girl getting a silly tattoo in his shop. The owner of Bird's Eye Tattoo Studio doesn't want you to tip him with your phone number or flirty glances. He's tired of all the wrong women wanting him for all the wrong reasons.

Drew Ashby has no time—for anything. As a recently-divorced single mother, her focus is on finding a job, caring for her daughter, and rebuilding some semblance of a life after hers was wrecked.

When Drew lands a job at Bird's Eye, sparks don't immediately fly. She can't deny the fact that her boss is a delicious specimen of a man. His tattoo-covered skin might even drive her wild, but his brooding presence and set jaw make him hard to read.

That is, until he drops the bad boy persona and starts making moves on her—kind and caring gestures she doesn't expect.

Things turn hot, and just when Drew thinks everything is finally going right, life throws her a curveball from her past.

Bird's Eye might not be the family Drew envisioned for herself, but ideals can change in a heartbeat. There's no doubt Hawk is the man she wants, but can he step up and be the man she needs?

In Agatha Christie’s classic mystery 4:50 From Paddington, a woman in one train witnesses a murder occurring in another passing one…and only Miss Marple believes her story.
For an instant the two trains ran side by side. In that frozen moment, Elspeth McGillicuddy stared helplessly out of her carriage window as a man tightened his grip around a woman's throat. The body crumpled. Then the other train drew away. But who, apart from Mrs. McGillicuddy's friend Jane Marple, would take her story seriously? After all, there are no other witnesses, no suspects, and no case -- for there is no corpse, and no one is missing.
Miss Marple asks her highly efficient and intelligent young friend Lucy Eyelesbarrow to infiltrate the Crackenthorpe family, who seem to be at the heart of the mystery, and help unmask a murderer.

Adam Mulvaney lives a double life. By day, he's the spoiled youngest son of an eccentric billionaire. By night, he's an unrepentant killer, one of seven psychopaths raised to right the wrongs of a justice system that keeps failing.
Noah Holt has spent years dreaming of vengeance for the death of his father, but when faced with his killer, he learns a daunting truth he can't escape. His father was a monster.
Unable to ignore his own surfacing memories, Noah embarks on a quest to find the truth about his childhood with the help of an unlikely ally: the very person who murdered his father. Since their confrontation, Adam is obsessed with Noah, and he wants to help him uncover the answers he seeks, however dark they may be.
The two share a mutual attraction, but, deep down, Noah knows Adam's not like other boys. Adam can't love. He wasn't born that way. But he refuses to let Noah go, and Noah's not sure he wants him to.
Can Adam prove to Noah that passion, power, and protection are just as good as love?
Unhinged is a fast-paced, roller coaster ride of a romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers. It features a dirty-talking, possessive psychopath and a sweet cinnamon roll of a boy with Daddy issues and a core of steel. There's gratuitous violence, very dark humor, enough steam to fog up a hundred car windows, and something a lot like love. This is book one in the Necessary Evils series. Each book follows a different couple.
