Synopsis

What is poetry? Poetry is wish, it is prayer and it is life. This collection includes poems mainly on the salts of life and if there are some sugar coats that often vanish when the life becomes on And ultimately if it is possible why life is called life and if not why love is called love.

In Your Town
I was in your town
Recklessly wandering
Under the scheming shadows of palaces,
Towers, house of moons, evenings of nights,
Grasses, have you seen my footprints?
May I be unseen from balconies?
Behind of the windows, dozing doors,
I have touched all the petals of gardens,
Every corner of titanic roads, shadows cornering the heart of the city,
Every glass of silent busses, sounds,
All wandering telephone booths,
May I be not heard
In those countless webs of
Satanic sounds in your town, moving, fuming in archaic symbols like delights,
Hallo! Dear Silent Bird,
Am I unseen
In your nest?

Based on her experience as a wilderness guide for women in a substance-abuse treatment program, Mary Ardery’s visceral debut is set deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. These narrative-lyric poems chronicle a labor both physically and emotionally intense: bearing witness to campfire confessions, facing uphill climbs and frigid rivers and wildfires, reckoning with relapses and overdoses. Here is a nuanced exploration of intoxication and recovery, the ways we share and manage pain, and how our personal histories can haunt us but also lead us down transformative paths. Firmly grounded in time and place, part record and part elegy, this is a book for those who have been affected by addiction and all who have ever sought solace or redemption in nature.

“Echoes of Love” is not just a collection of poems; it is a reflection of the emotions we all carry — the beauty of love, the ache of loss, and the quiet strength that comes with healing. Each piece is a heartbeat, a sigh, a silent memory brought to life through words. As you read or listen, I invite you to journey with me — to feel every rise and fall of emotion, to breathe in the pauses, and to find pieces of your own story within mine. I hope it makes you feel seen, understood, and deeply connected, as if each verse was waiting just for you. May it whisper to your soul and leave behind an echo of comfort and love.

In Are You There, Indiana poet Samantha Fain refracts contemporary melancholia into iridescent lyricism. Fain delights in breaking rules, the serendipity of autocorrect incantations, testing how far, in space and time, a connection will travel, and where it ends—quoting sources including Schrödinger, Ask Jeeves and Kim Kardashian. In Fain's haunting poetics, grief, mania, pop culture, faith, quantum physics and digital relationships collide, alive with the spiky humour of brutal self-awareness, aglow with startling new language.

"These poems are like Neosporin; they sting and they heal." Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Creator of Bojack Horseman.

"The most lyrically provoking debut I've ever read. Samantha Fain articulates the complex contemporary manifestations of grief and desire, while still giving us possibility instead of foreclosure." C.T. Salazar, Headless John the Baptist Hitchhiking
