Synopsis

Wesley Kim loves watching his boyfriend work. Even when he can't help worrying about it.

Wes knows his boyfriend's a genius actor -- after all, Finn Ransom used to be a household name. And Finn's so compelling, even on the set of a television superhero show where he's a recurring fan favorite, not the star. He's brilliant. And Wes gets to tell him so. Repeatedly. In bed.

But this role is physically demanding. Late nights, action scenes. Wes has seen Finn in the hospital before. He never wants to again.

Then Finn gets an offer: the chance to become a series regular ...

Thom Baron has been struggling with social anxiety his entire life. He's taken the medications, gone to the therapists, followed the programs, and concluded his best life is a solitary one. When he comes across a dog in obvious need at his local market, it rekindles the desire to have some company around. It may come with a dishevelled coat, a notched ear, and a refusal to respond to anything but its given name "Ugly," but it could still be a friend.
However, Thom's new fur buddy has no such need to keep to itself and immediately befriends the man Thom has secretly coveted since he moved in -- Justin, Thom's gorgeous, bright-eyed neighbour. No matter how Thom tries to evade the man, the dog keeps drawing them back into each other's lives, and it doesn't take Thom long to recognize it's simply pursuing the demands of Thom's own heart. With the dog giving him the courage to try, Thom reaches out to return the love being offered.
Until a stranger shows up insisting the dog is his and demanding its immediate return ... a loss Thom knows will take all of his efforts and newfound confidence with it.

A sapphic road trip rom-com with one bed and forced proximity that’s not just a slow burn: It's a slow tease. From Rian Birch, author of Swept Up In You and On The Right Path, comes the next instalment of the unapologetically Aussie Tradie Lady Series.
Brooke Mayfield is back in the last place she wants to be: Adelaide. A place she hasn’t called home in over ten years. She didn’t see herself here at twenty-nine: broke, feeling lost and alone yet surrounded by family with their oh-so-perfect lives. Everything she does just feels like she’s in the way with nowhere to go.
Jade “JJ” Johnson longs for a break. She’s got the house and the business, but never carved out time for herself. She’s ready to travel, starting in her home state of South Australia. Her only problem? Perfectionism is keeping her rooted to the spot, unable to make a decision on where to go and what to see.
When a chance encounter with JJ allows Brooke an opportunity to travel again, Brooke finds herself agreeing to go more out of spite than excitement. There's no way her boring state of South Australia could ever win her heart, and she’d be happy to prove JJ wrong. She’s seen the world from every different viewpoint after all. Though maybe travel isn't all about where you're going, but who you're with…
Opposites definitely attract in this outback adventure that begs the question: Will their trip bring them closer together, or send one of them packing?
This can be read as a standalone but does feature characters introduced earlier in the series.

Homography: mapping multiple perspectives of a single subject; words with the same form but different meanings (see gay, story); homosexual history approached through autobiography; projective transformation (from personal to political plane). Evans uses his own relationships—sexual and familial, chosen and biological—to explore queer heritage. In this collection you'll happen upon ancestors from antiquity to present day including Narcissus and Derek Jarman, as well as iconic venues like the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. There is imagery drawn from the natural world, and from to the underworlds of fetish and clubbing—a diversity echoed in forms concrete and classical. There is also shame, and there is trauma, but always leavened by fierce humour and hope for our future. This bold and beautiful third collection from Polari Prize longlisted poet Nathan Evans features poems published by Royal Society of Literature, Muswell Press, Broken Sleep and Fourteen Poems. It is edited by TS Eliot Prize winner Joelle Taylor and published for LGBTQIA+ History Month 2026.
