Beschreibung

I broke her heart ten years ago and left town. She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted. But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.***He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history? But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up.News flash, buddy: I am over you.

    Sometimes, wishes do come true…
Brooke Weatherby is tired of being the dependable one, the boring one of everyone at Sanderling Cove. She agreed to come to the cove for the summer unaware her two cousins, Charlotte “Charlie” Bradford and Olivia “Livy” Winters, would also be there to help manage The Sanderling Cove Inn while her grandparents take a long road trip in Europe. More than anything, she wishes for independence from her role as a sometime caretaker of her mother, so she’s free to find true love.
Unknown to her and her cousins, the five grandmothers at Sanderling Cove have invited their beloved grandchildren to spend as much time as possible this summer at the cove, hoping that romance might flourish among them.
One grandson, Dylan Hendrix, is a well-known artist who decides to take a break from Santa Fe and experiment with different kinds of paintings inspired by the scenic Gulf Coast of Florida. As he and Brooke get to know each other, he encourages her to discover her own artistic talent. Brooke’s world opens to colors and possibilities she never dreamed of as her life begins to change.
Grandmothers can be very determined when it comes to seeing their grandchildren happy. A family saga full of love. Be sure to read all the books in the series – Waves of Hope, Sandy Wishes, Salty Kisses.

Unnatural horrors and a town in peril: Stephen King’s Under the Dome meets
The Last of Us in this harrowing climate fiction novel.
When a hidden evil emerges from the depths of the ocean, the tight-knit town of
Baywood is caught in a climate disaster of mysterious origins: an unusual wave of
sea snails enter the estuary and transform wildlife, seascapes, and finally, people.
Once infected, residents start “deading”: collapsing and dying, only to resurrect,
changed in ways both physical and fundamental. After the government isolates
Baywood, paranoia and surveillance run rampant. A newly formed cult called the
Risers starts targeting those who are not deading: the introverted bird-loving Blas,
his jaded older brother, Chango, the widow Kumi, and her cautious neighbor,
Ingram. The survivors of Baywood eventually must choose to escape, to
investigate the deading’s origins, or to become subsumed by this terrifying new
    normal.
At points claustrophobic and haunting, soulful and melancholic, The Deading
lyrically explores the disintegration of society, the horror of survival and
adaptation, and the unexpected solace found through connections in nature and
    between humans.

Enter the quiet yet deeply complex inner world of a young woman searching for independence in early 20th-century England. In Backwater, Dorothy Miller Richardson continues the journey of Miriam Henderson, capturing her experiences as she navigates work, identity, and the subtle pressures of society.
This audiobook brings to life one of the earliest examples of stream-of-consciousness storytelling, immersing listeners in Miriam’s thoughts, emotions, and shifting perceptions. Rather than focusing on dramatic events, Richardson reveals the beauty and tension of everyday life—where personal growth unfolds through reflection, observation, and quiet rebellion against societal expectations.
As Miriam takes on a teaching role in London, she confronts the constraints placed on women while striving to define her own path. Her story resonates with anyone who has ever questioned their place in the world or sought meaning beyond convention.
Thoughtful, intimate, and ahead of its time, Backwater offers a unique listening experience for lovers of classic literature and introspective storytelling. This audiobook invites you to slow down, listen closely, and explore the richness of the human mind.

    THE GALACTIC FEDERATION OF LIGHT
Book 1 of 6 Dawn of the galactic federation of light
This is the first book in the series and the plot is as follows:
In 2035, the universe faces annihilation by the Dark Armada, led by the malevolent Void King. The Galactic Federation of Light, a diverse alliance of civilizations, unites to resist. Led by High Elder Zynara, Commander Kael Draxus, Queen Aelara, Archon Voryn, and Oracle Luminos, they strategise at the Luminara Citadel. In the Battle of the Nebula Veil, they repel the Dark Armada using unity, advanced technology, and the power of the Source. Despite victory, the Void King remains a threat. In a final confrontation, Kael defeats him, ending the war. The Federation emerges stronger, ushering in a new era of hope and vigilance.
This is the first in a series of six audiobooks in the series, the others will become available in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first instalment, and it's only $3, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, a fast paced modern beat that gets you ready for the out of this world story. The closing music ends the tale on a dark foreboding beat anticipating the next instalment.
The story itself runs to about 14 minutes and is narrated in my own voice.
