Synopsis

One of the few dancers of color to rise to the top, ballerina Alicia Kinkaid earned her place in the spotlight—only to have it snatched away by a jealous, powerful man. To avoid the long-reach of his empire, Alicia surrendered her dreams and disappeared, re-emerging under a new name. The last thing on Alicia’s mind was love—and certainly not with another man with her ex’s money and power. Money and power, after all, had ruined her life.
