Beschreibung

The Abacus, a humble device with a rich history, has been a companion to mathematicians for centuries. Its origins can be traced back to ancient Mesopotamia, where civilizations like the Sumerians used it for calculations. Over time, the abacus took on different forms in various cultures, but its core principle remained the same – manipulating beads on rods to represent numbers and perform arithmetic operations.Despite the rise of modern calculators, the abacus is still used in some parts of the world, particularly in Asia. It's also gaining popularity as a mental math tool, as studies show that using an abacus can improve mental ability and calculation skills.Example: Shepherds have used pebbles for centuries as a simple and effective way to keep track of their sheep or goats. Each time a goat passes through a gate or enclosure, the shepherd moves a pebble from one pile to another. By the end of the day, the pebbles tell the shepherd exactly how many goats they have. Once all the goats have been counted, the shepherd can simply count the pebbles in the pouch to determine the total number of goats. This method is especially useful for shepherds who may not be able to read or write, or who find it easier to manipulate physical objects than numbers.

Early counting tools evolved into the Abacus we know today. Here's a brief history of its development:* Mud Lines and Pebbles: The earliest ancestors of the abacus were likely simple markings in mud or sand, perhaps alongside pebbles or sticks to represent quantities.* Wooden Frame and Rods: Later, counting boards made of wood with grooves or rods emerged, allowing for a more permanent and organized way of calculating.* Beads on Rods: Finally, beads were added to the rods, making it easier to manipulate and keep track of numbers. This is the type of abacus most commonly associated with the tool today.Learning to use an Abacus can offer a number of benefits for children, including:* Stronger math skills: Abacus use can help kids develop a better understanding of mathematical concepts, improve their mental math abilities, and increase their calculation speed and accuracy.* Enhanced memory and concentration: Abacus programs often involve memorization techniques and require focused attention to manipulate the beads and solve problems. This can lead to improved memory and concentration in other areas of life as well.* Boosted confidence: As children master Abacus skills and see their math abilities improve, their confidence can grow. This can have a positive impact on their overall academic performance.* Improved cognitive skills: Abacus use may enhance cognitive skills such as visual-spatial reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking math skills and improve their confidence in math.

If you are looking at this book, you are already one step ahead of the past, just because it means you are interested in stopping your addictive smoking habit, or you know someone you want to help. Since that holds true, I advise you to download this book immediately, because it is definitely worth it!
You might have tried other approaches, programs or products to quit smoking gradually, or try to make it simple but inefficient. I can assure you this is not the same. Do not compare these steps to anything else you've done. This program has been tried, tested, used, and it has changed the lives of many individuals in an exceptionally positive way.
When I lived in Canada, it belonged to my job description to help lots of people to stop smoking, and this was the program we used. It worked each and each single time for the ones who did what they were supposed to! The only times it did not work, was for the ones that were not committed and did not follow the steps. They thought they could choose which steps they liked and which ones they could skip.
If you follow every single step in this program, I guarantee you that you'll quit smoking now, this day, and never ever pick up another cigarette in your life. Does that sound too good to be true? It's not. Go on and download this book, and your life will change forever.

In the intricate tapestry of our modern world, where the digital and the human are woven ever more tightly, a profound new framework has emerged to illuminate the nexus of our existence. This is the realm of the Antheoze Theory, a radical departure from traditional thought that dares to place the subjective, the embodied, and the spiritual at the very heart of our understanding. It is a theory born not from the cold, objective analysis of data, but from a deep, empathetic engagement with lived experience. As we stand at the precipice of an increasingly complex technological landscape, the Antheoze Theory offers a vital compass, guiding us to look inward and to consider the ethical and existential implications of our digital lives. It challenges us to move beyond the superficial and to explore the hidden depths of our relationship with technology, and in doing so, to redefine what it means to be human in the digital age. This is not merely an academic exercise; it is a call to consciousness, a plea for a more humane and meaningful future.

    Future Care - Sensors Artificial...

WITH A FOREWORD BY SIDDHARTHA MUKHERJEE A renowned cardiologist and Harvard professor spells out the future digital shift of medicine — and how it will impact the lives not only of patients and health care professionals but of all humans. Future care is virtual care: sensor-aided, digitally enabled, and powered by predictive analytics. Like most facets of modern life, human organs, too, are being digitally monitored. Sensors are well on their way to helping us proactively capture the information needed to predict and prevent disease. Paired with the medical world’s growing emphasis on wellness and prevention, the digital revolution will help us effectively monitor and address the chronic diseases that have been the Achilles’ heel of the health care system to date. This large-scale transition is not only going to reshape the patient-physician relationship but also dramatically change how hospitals and the business of medicine operate. Dr. Singh explores the upswell of virtual care, the evolving role of sensors, and the impact of artificial intelligence in medicine and health care through cutting-edge science, big idea projections, and patient stories. Using anecdotes from his own COVID-19 illness and medical practice, Dr. Singh shows that the success of the digital revolution in medicine is dependent on our ability to understand and adapt to this changing landscape. Future Care provides fascinating insights into how health care can become sensible, affordable, and practical and why everyone needs to become a part of the solution. It is an important and timely contribution to the ongoing and increasingly urgent conversation about medicine, technology, and health care.
