Synopsis

Independent. Divorced. Stuck. Aurora Beltrame's life is about to change without her permission. When the past brings both love and pain into her life in the form of her favourite rock band, how far will her ideality become her reality?
A chance meeting with Oliver, the lead singer of Morpheme, throws them together. Neither aware of the impact this will have on their lives. Their attraction to each other becomes all-consuming, but is there more to their relationship than either of them will admit? Is this work or pleasure? As Aurora is introduced to a world of rock band politics, money and egos, her own career rockets and soon it is her success that brings a shift in their relationship.
Then the buried, forgotten, ignored rise up to threaten Aurora's life. Harry, her best friend at college, only a trapped memory fighting to be free, but Aurora is too scared to face the reality to let go. And David, her ex-husband, who wants to reprise his role, making all the old promises, only for Aurora to stand strong against him. So, he resorts to Plan B.
Aurora has no choice but to deal with the past to save her future, but is it too late to save her relationship with Oliver? Has the ideality been severed?

"You're Nellie Westrop and don't you forget it.
We'll see each other one day, but until we do, take good care of yourself.
    Live a good life.
    Now go, my love."
From the author of Silver Darlings comes LK Wilde's captivating portrayal of the life of Queenie Read.
Heart warming and breaking in equal measure, Queenie of Norwich is perfect for fans of The Foundling, Where the Crawdads Sing, and The Smallest Man.
People say you get one life, but I've lived three.
I was born Ellen Hardy in 1900, dragged up in Queen Caroline's Yard, Norwich.
There was nothing royal about our yard, and Mum was no queen.
At six years old Mum sold me. I became Nellie Westrop, roaming the country in a showman's wagon, learning the art of the fair.
And I've been the infamous Queenie of Norwich, moving up in the world by any means, legal or not.
I've been heart broken, abandoned, bought and sold, but I've never, ever given up.
After all, it's not where you start that's important, but where you end up.
Based on a true story, Queenie of Norwich is the compelling tale of one remarkable girl's journey to womanhood.
Spanning the first half of the 20th century, Queenie's story is one of heartbreak and triumph, love and loss and the power of family.
It is a story of redemption, and how, with grit and determination, anything is possible.

“Recalls the literature of Americana by John Steinbeck, Erskine Caldwell, Willa Cather, and Hamlin Garland . . . Hansen has broadened our perception of the West in much the same way as the best historians . . . and proven himself one of our finest stylists of American historical fiction.” —Christian Science Monitor
Bestselling author Ron Hansen recreates the real West with his imaginative telling of the life of the most famous outlaw of them all, Jesse James, and of his death at the hands of the upstart Robert Ford.
Jesse James was a fabled outlaw, a charismatic, spiritual, larger-than-life bad man whose bloody exploits captured the imagination and admiration of a nation hungry for antiheroes. Robert Ford was a young upstart torn between dedicated worship and murderous jealousy, the ""dirty little coward"" who coveted Jesse's legend. The powerful, strange, and unforgettable story of their interweaving paths—and twin destinies that would collide in a rain of blood and betrayal—is a story of America in all her rough, conflicted glory and the myths that made her.
