Synopsis

ഉപനിഷത്തുകളിലെന്ന പോലെ ആത്മജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ നിഗൂഢരഹസ്യങ്ങള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ഈ യോഗാത്മക കവിതയുടെ ഭാഷാശൈലിയും ലാളിത്യവും സൗന്ദര്യവും അനുവാചകര്‍ക്ക് എന്നും ഹൃദ്യമായിരിക്കും. ഇസ്ലാമിന്റെയും ഹൈന്ദവ, ബൗദ്ധ, ക്രൈസ്തവ, സൊറാസ്ട്രിയന്‍ ദര്‍ശനങ്ങളുടെയും പ്രവാഹങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴുകിയെത്തിയ ഒരു സാഗരത്തിന്റെ സത്തയാണ് ജിബ്രാന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്‍.

The prophet, Al Mustafa, has lived in the city of Orphalese for 12 years and is about to board a ship which will carry him home. He is stopped by a group of people, with whom he discusses topics such as life and the human condition.
