Synopsis

In "La Sorcière: The Witch of the Middle Ages," Jules Michelet presents a compelling exploration of the witch hunts that plagued Europe during the Middle Ages, meticulously weaving together historical facts with poetic narration. His literary style, marked by vivid imagery and passionate prose, transcends mere historical recounting to delve into the psychological and social underpinnings of witch hunts, revealing the fears and superstitions of a society in turmoil. Michelet situates his discussion within a broader cultural and philosophical context, highlighting the intersection of science, religion, and folklore that characterized this dark chapter of European history. Jules Michelet, a prominent 19th-century French historian, was deeply influenced by the Romantic movement, which emphasized emotion and individual experience. His progressive views on history and society, coupled with his own interest in the marginalized figures of the past, led him to write this poignant treatise. Michelet's dedication to shedding light on the neglected narratives of women, in particular, serves to amplify the voices of those unjustly accused and condemned. "La Sorcière" is a stimulating read for anyone interested in the interplay of gender, power, and societal fears throughout history. Michelet's unique blend of historical detail and lyrical writing not only enhances our understanding of the era but also resonates with contemporary discussions about the consequences of mass hysteria and scapegoating.

    DESCRIPTION
The title of the book is Bhartiya Shoorveer .Earlier I had given the title of the book as bravery of India. Then I felt that the name of this book should be changed. Finally, I name my book BHARATIYA SHOORVEER. The name
Bhartiya Shoorveer was given because it felt good to speak in Hindi and our mother tongue is Hindi so I named the book Bhartiya Shoorveer. Now the question comes to why I wrote this book. The answer is that I love and respect my Indian Army very much. It is also a dream of mine to write a book on the Indian armed forces. I chose the topic of the Army only because what our Indian soldiers are doing for us on the borders protects us day and night whether it's a cold or hot or Stormy. It is also our duty to pay a thankfulness to our Indian Soldiers. The purpose of writing this book is to thank every Indian brave through this book. In Indian bravery, every soldier has been called bharatiya shoorveer. As you all know that our Indian Army is the second largest Army in the world. The responsibility of the security of the entire nation rests on them. Para SF Commandos have been given the title of Indian Warriors Bhartiya Shoorveer . In this book and how difficult and tough their journey is,

As a young girl growing up in Houston, Margaret Juhae Lee never heard about her grandfather, Lee Chul Ha. His history was lost in early twentieth-century Korea, and guarded by Margaret's grandmother, who Chul Ha left widowed in 1936 with two young sons. To his surviving family, Lee Chul Ha was a criminal, and his granddaughter was determined to figure out why.

Starry Field chronicles Chul Ha's untold story. Combining investigative journalism, oral history, and archival research, Margaret reveals the truth about the grandfather she never knew. What she found is that Lee Chul Ha was not a source of shame; he was a student revolutionary imprisoned in 1929 for protesting the Japanese government's colonization of Korea. He was a hero—and eventually honored as a Patriot of South Korea almost 60 years after his death. It is through the series of three interviews with her grandmother that Margaret finally finds a sense of recognition she's been missing. A story of healing old wounds and the reputation of an extraordinary young man, Starry Field bridges the tales of two women.

Starry Field weaves together the stories of Margaret's family against the backdrop of Korea's tumultuous modern history, with a powerful question at its heart. Can we ever separate ourselves from our family's past—and if the answer is yes, should we?

    Foreword by Dr Andy Daly-Smith.
We already know that increased physical activity and a reduction in the sedentary time spent sitting at desks have wide-ranging benefits (including to brain function), so what if there were also evidence that using movement in the learning process improves outcomes for children? What if we could then map out ways to support teachers in adapting their practice to make this a reality?
In How to Move & Learn Bryn Llewellyn, Ian Holmes and Richard Allman do just that - sharing the latest research from around the world and providing teachers with the means and motivation to identify opportunities to integrate movement purposefully into the teaching and learning process.
The links between health and education are paramount, and this book explores these connections and presents a wealth of ideas, activities and resources to help teachers unlock the potential of the school and outdoor environments for learning across all curriculum subjects.
Suitable for all primary school teachers and leaders.
