Synopsis

The Battle of the Birds is one of Joseph Jacobs’ most sweeping and enchanting Scottish fairy tales — a sprawling epic of magic, loyalty, giants, riddles, shapeshifting, and fate. 
When a humble wren challenges a mouse to a contest of strength, the clash spirals into a full-scale battle of the creatures. A young prince sets out to witness the strange conflict, only to be swept into a whirlwind of enchantment when he rescues a mighty black raven locked in combat with a deadly serpent.

With the help of Auburn Mary — the brave and selfless daughter of the giant — the prince must face impossible trials, outwit monstrous forces, and fight to remember the love that saved his life. 
This tale blends the best of Celtic myth, folklore wonder, and classic fairy-tale magic — brought to life with vivid storytelling by narrator Aaron Sokalski.
