Synopsis

For all the superheroes who never were given a chance...
Comic book heroes are always a step behind, confronting the villain only after he has begun to carry out his heinous plans.

All intriguing villains face a moral choice that puts them on the path to evil.  We might even say that before any evil act is committed, a spiritual battle inside the soul has already been lost.  The consequence of that loss is the evil that we see.  But the spiritual battle remains unseen.

But what if there were a new kind of hero?  One who had vision into the moral conflicts faced by the characters he met and could see the demons tempting them, and know their plans?  So, he could intervene on a spiritual level rather than a physical level, before the villain decides to walk his evil path?

What if victory on a spiritual level meant that not just lives could be saved but immortal souls, as well?

Welcome to Blind Prophet!

Blind Prophet, Episode 1: A Prophet Is Born is just the origin story. You will need to wait a bit for the future episodes to see how this disabled child, who almost was not allowed to be born, saves the world!

We plan to make all 7 episodes available, 4 of which have been released in print.

A compilation of the first four is also available in print format under the title, Blind Prophet, Part 1, which you may want to check out.
So, are you ready for:
•A completely unexpected superhero, who no one dreamed would amount to anything?

•A superhero with a subtle power operating in an unseen realm?

•A superhero who almost never was, an origin that almost never happened?
We call the Blind Prophet a New Kind of Hero...

We dedicate Blind Prophet, "For all the superheroes who never were given a chance..."

Will you give our superhero the chance he deserves to save the world?
Welcome to Blind Prophet!
What are people saying about Blind Prophet?

"The premise is unique, a sort of hero you never hear about...In all honesty, this book really shook me up. The story would be a great movie and with all the monsters and demons in movies, nothing is scarier than real life and this book is scary because it could happen." --neo-examiner.com

"It most certainly does not pull any punches...It is quite a bit different from anything I have read before. The first teen I showed it to said, 'This is awesome.'" --Richard Lee Bruce

"This is a comic book that deserves more attention and I recommend it for anyone interested in the supernatural aspect. It dives into religion but even being agnostic it doesn't bother me. It makes you wonder if there are two sides making you choose between good and evil." --Escaping Reality, itsanescape.com

Seven fictional stories―Captain America, Iron Man, Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Batman, and Wonder Woman―point us to the ultimate hero, Jesus Christ.Think about it. What if Batman knew your name and wanted to be friends with you? What if you were the one that Tony Stark died to save? What if it was you that Luke Skywalker would stop at nothing to redeem? Hollywood Heroes will awaken you to these questions and help you to see a God who stops at nothing to redeem you. And it will strengthen you to invite others into conversations of faith and life in Jesus.Fictional stories about heroes help us realize that there is evil to fight, souls to be won, and growth to be achieved. It helps us recognize―regardless of religious or cultural beliefs―that sacrificing your life for another’s is a powerful and beautiful display of love.Fictional heroes help us to reconsider what is tangibly in front of us through the lens of story rather than simply as just another day in our ordinary lives. Appealing straight to the heart, the stories bypass artificial barriers that we would normally block them with because our worldview has been threatened. When we examine out-of-this-world qualities like idealism, genius, a willingness to sacrifice, discipline, loyalty, humility, courage, wisdom, focus, power, and love, we discover that Jesus practices them perfectly.

Survival of the Filthiest takes Bucky the cat and Satchel the pooch back to their animal origins, not that they’ve ever strayed too far from their nonpedigrees. Constantly testing the patience of their “amateur treat boy” Rob, Bucky and Satchel pull off daily antics in the Get Fuzzy household that are routinely smelly, messy, and, yes, even filthy. In Survival of the Filthiest, Bucky decides to secede from the United States and declare the state of Buckyvania in his closet, complete with visitor permissions and postcards. When the state of Buckyvania has a food shortage, he is forced to launch a successful special ops raiding party. Not to be deterred when Buckyvania falls, Bucky begins a government takeover plan with Mac Manc McManx slated as the new president. Meanwhile, Satchel, convinced there are ghosts in the house, hires the Atlantic Research of Supernatural Entities Group to ghostbust. When their study is a bust, Mystic Misty, a feline cable access psychic, steps in to uncover the spirits. All this amid Bucky making batteries out of monkeys and Satchel eating all but the head of Rob’s Star Wars collectible equate to another sidesplitting look into the crazy world of Get Fuzzy.

Cat owners are familiar with those little joys of owning a feline friend: From finding cat hair-covered dresses to creating, well, inventive cuddle positions for sleepy time, Yasmine Surovec is all too familiar with the world of a cat lover.  In her second collection of Cat vs Human comics, Surovec dives further into the intricacies of cat ownership. Perhaps you've had the pleasure of awakening next to a lovely gift from your cat—such as a dead mouse or hairball—or maybe you understand the necessary pain tolerance that comes from being a scratching post for unclipped claws. Either way, this book is sure to leave you rolling with laughter . . . on your cat hair-infested floor. This collection includes 140 comics from the blog plus 21 new, never-before-seen comics created specifically for this book.
