Synopsis

It's London in the 1980s - Duran Duran is on the radio, Opium scents the smoky air, and our heroine Dora Jerusalem lands a coveted job on glossy magazine Modern Woman. She's catapulted from quiet study at Cambridge into a new world of glamorous parties, champagne book launches and challenging relationships with new friends and frenemies. There she meets would-be art dealer Guy Boleyn, but it's not the right time or place for either of them. There's too much at stake: a devastating secret lies buried in their family history of exile, enduring love, heartbreak and eccentricity.
