Synopsis

John Muir made four trips to Alaska, as far as Unalaska and Barrow. Muir, Mr. Young and a group of Native American Guides first traveled to Alaska in 1879 and were the first Euro-Americans to explore Glacier Bay. Muir Glacier was later named after him. He traveled into British Columbia a third of the way up the Stikine River, likening its Grand Canyon to "a Yosemite that was a hundred miles long". Muir recorded over 300 glaciers along the river's course. He returned for further explorations in southeast Alaska in 1880 and in 1881 was with the party that landed on Wrangel Island on the USS Corwin and claimed that island for the United States. He documented this experience in journal entries and newspaper articles—later compiled and edited into his book The Cruise of the Corwin. In 1888 after seven years of managing the Strentzel fruit ranch in Alhambra Valley, California, his health began to suffer. He returned to the hills to recover, climbing Mount Rainier in Washington and writing Ascent of Mount Rainier. For many years, Camilla was portrayed in a poor light, blamed by the public for the break-up of the marriage between Prince Charles and Lady Diana. Initially, Queen Elizabeth refused to see or speak to her, but, since the death of Prince Philip, Camilla had become one of the Queen's closest companions. Her confidence in Camilla and the transformation she had seen in Prince Charles since their wedding resulted in her choosing the first day of her Platinum Jubilee year to tell the world that she wanted Camilla to be Queen Consort, not the demeaning Princess Consort suggested in 2005.

Angela Levin uncovers Camilla's rocky journey to be accepted by the royal family and how she coped with her brutal portrayal in Netflix's The Crown. The public have witnessed her tremendous contribution to help those in need, especially during COVID. Levin has talked to many of Camilla's long-term friends, her staff, and executives from the numerous charities of which Camilla is patron. She reveals why Camilla concentrates on previously taboo subjects, such as domestic violence and rape. Most of all, Levin tells the story of how Camilla has changed from a fun-loving young woman to one of the senior royals' hardest workers. She has retained her mischievous sense of humor, becoming a role model for older women and an inspiration for younger ones.

Anthony Arismendi moved to the United States from Venezuela as a teenager in the mid-seventies with the dream of becoming a US citizen and an FBI agent—despite the fact that he couldn’t speak a word of English.Transplanted from the dangerous streets of Caracas, Arismendi’s unconventional thinking and out-of-the-box approach to life landed him in plenty of comical, often precarious situations. Still, he adapted his survival skills to a new culture, one harrowing day at a time, overcoming homelessness, prejudice, and poverty to achieve the impossible.Profoundly inspirational, Arismendi’s unique blend of hard work, perseverance, and mysticism in the face of relentless adversity reminds us that our reservoirs of courage and determination run far deeper than we know—and that we should never give up on our dreams, no matter how out of reach they might seem.

What if true goodness made the world uncomfortable?
The Idiot is Dostoevsky’s powerful novel about innocence, cruelty, and the cost of staying pure in a world that rewards deception.
Prince Myshkin, recently returned from years of treatment in a Swiss clinic, walks through the aristocratic society of 19th-century Russia with compassion, honesty, and a profound sensitivity—traits that make him an outsider in every room.
Torn between two women, manipulated by greedy nobles, and surrounded by social intrigue, Myshkin's moral clarity slowly becomes his downfall. This deeply human story explores the tragic impossibility of living with radical goodness in a broken world.
    What you’ll discover inside:
-A Timeless Portrait of Innocence – The unforgettable character of Prince Myshkin.
-A Complex Tapestry of Emotion – Love, betrayal, and spiritual yearning in high society.
-A Tragic Moral Conflict – What happens when a pure soul meets a cynical world.
-A Modern, Faithful Adaptation – Captures the novel’s emotional depth and clarity for today’s listeners.
Let the voice of Dostoevsky awaken your heart and conscience.
The Idiot is more than a novel—it’s a spiritual reckoning.
