  Dear listener, I bare you my heart like an olive tree bares its fruit in the Levant sun. 
  Written in both North Levantine Arabic and English, this is a poetry book on love as I have experienced it. I wrote it with a vision, an image of myself being back on the olive field where my late grandfather used to harvest ripe olives whilst I sat between the rocks and the olive trees.

  Writing poetry always seems to be something we learn at school, usually beginning with a couplet of child-like rhyme that brings gales of laughter.  Later it may be agonising over a verse or two attempting to rhapsodise on love and then the years roll on with only an occasional desire to return.

  A distraught Palestinian doctor processing his son's suicide finds common ground with the Israeli investigator who lost his best friend in the attack. 
  When an explosion devastates a peaceful neighborhood, Dr. Rami Amar receives news his son was the perpetrator. Shocked by their son's apparent radicalization, Dr. Amar and his wife, Lyda struggle to make sense of their loss, which is further intensified by the investigator, Major Shani of the Israeli Defense Forces.
