Synopsis

This carefully crafted ebook: "John Keats: Hyperion (Unabridged)" is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents. "Hyperion" is an epic poem by 19th-century English Romantic poet John Keats. It is based on the Titanomachia, and tells of the despair of the Titans after their fall to the Olympians. Keats wrote the poem from late 1818 until the spring of 1819, when he gave it up as having "too many Miltonic inversions." The themes and ideas were picked up again in Keats's The Fall of Hyperion: A Dream, when he attempted to recast the epic by framing it with a personal quest to find truth and understanding. John Keats (1795 - 1821) was an English Romantic poet. The poetry of Keats is characterized by sensual imagery, most notably in the series of odes. Today his poems and letters are some of the most popular and most analyzed in English literature. Table of Contents: Introduction: Life of John Keats by Sidney Colvin Hyperion Book I. Hyperion Book II. Hyperion Book III.

SONGS IN THEY KEY OF DEATH, a collection of poetic horror, by JG Faherty
"Songs in the Key of Death is a collection of edgy, stirring poems from the author of such well-known books as Ragman and The Wakening. I was delighted to learn that JG Faherty is expanding his horizons into poetry, and the result is a fascinating compilation of dark enchantments. Highly recommended!" —Jeani Rector, Editor of The Horror Zine
"I love the way JG Faherty's extraordinary poetry collection plays with language, form, and emotion. These pieces are by turns frightening, melancholy, disturbing, smart, and darkly witty. Songs in the Key of Death is a hit!" —Lisa Morton, six-time Bram Stoker Award® winner
"I really enjoyed this collection. The poems are philosophical and eerie, sometimes brutal and disturbing, with a lot of sharp edges and concise choices of language and imagery." —Erinn Kemper, horror and weird fiction author whose stories have appeared in Tor.com, Black Static, Chiral Mad, Prism, Cemetery Dance Magazine, Dark Discoveries, and other markets

Library of Small Catastrophes, Alison Rollins's ambitious debut collection, interrogates the body and nation as storehouses of countless tragedies. Drawing from Jorge Luis Borges's fascination with the library, Rollins uses the concept of the archive to offer a lyric history of the ways in which we process loss. "Memory is about the future, not the past", she writes, and rather than shying away from the anger, anxiety, and mourning of her narrators, Rollins's poetry seeks to challenge the status quo, engaging in a diverse, boundary-defying dialogue with an ever-present reminder of the ways race, sexuality, spirituality, violence, and American culture collide.

With classics such as ‘My Last Duchess’ and ‘The Pied Piper Of Hamelin’ Robert Browning’s status as one of the great Victorian Poets will always be secure in popular culture. For the more literary he is considered a master of dramatic verse and dramatic monologues. It is interesting to note that his career bloomed late. Indeed it was only after the death of his wife Elizabeth in 1861 and his return to England from their life in Italy that his work came into wider acceptance and critical acclaim. In the last years of his life he recorded part of a poem on a wax cylinder which was played after his death. It was said to be the first time anyone’s voice had been heard from beyond the grave!
