Synopsis

Spid the Spider Meets Hamish McSpid is a humorous and engaging Scottish adventure that encourages children to explore heritage, question myths and develop independent thinking. 
 
It’s a long way from Spider Webdon to Glenthistle. 
 
But after reading about the legendary King Robert the Spid in a history book, Spid is determined to visit his cousin, Hamish McSpid, and discover more about his heritage. 
 
No sooner have they arrived than strange rumours begin to swirl. 
Whispers of a fearsome creature in Loch Monroe. 
Mysterious sightings. 
Unexplained happenings. 
Is the monster real? Or is there another explanation? 
 
As Spid investigates, he learns that history and legends are fascinating — but the truth often requires curiosity, courage and careful thinking.
