Synopsis

The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan is one of the most famous and influential works of religious literature ever written. First published in 1678, this timeless allegorical masterpiece tells a powerful story of faith, perseverance, and the spiritual journey of a believer seeking salvation.

The narrative follows a man named Christian, who lives in the City of Destruction and becomes deeply troubled after discovering the burden of his sins. Determined to find freedom and eternal peace, he begins a courageous journey toward the Celestial City, a place symbolizing heavenly salvation. Along the way, Christian encounters a series of trials, temptations, and obstacles that test his faith and determination.

Throughout his travels, Christian meets a wide range of symbolic characters who represent different virtues, struggles, and moral choices. Some companions encourage and guide him, while others attempt to mislead him from his path. As he passes through places such as the Slough of Despond, Vanity Fair, and the Valley of the Shadow of Death, Christian learns important lessons about courage, humility, faith, and perseverance.

Through vivid storytelling and powerful symbolism, John Bunyan illustrates the challenges that believers face in their spiritual lives. Each episode of Christian's journey reflects the inner struggles of the human soul as it seeks truth, redemption, and spiritual fulfillment. The allegory transforms complex theological ideas into an engaging narrative that readers of all backgrounds can understand and appreciate.

More than a religious text, The Pilgrim's Progress is a profound exploration of the human search for meaning and hope. Bunyan's imaginative world and memorable characters have inspired generations of readers and influenced countless works of literature, sermons, and spiritual writings.

Celebrated for its rich symbolism, moral depth, and enduring message of faith, The Pilgrim's Progress remains a classic that continues to guide and inspire readers on their own journeys through life. It is a story about the struggles of the human heart, the power of perseverance, and the ultimate hope of redemption.

Lucifer's name is mentioned only once in scripture, yet, he remains a powerful evil influence over the world. This has been the case from the time of Adam and Eve to today and will remain so until final judgment is executed upon the Earth.
What is Lucifer's ultimate goal? How can we fight such a daunting adversary when angels themselves, with their supernatural strength, dare not contend with him? Furthermore, since the Bible tells us that Lucifer is the god of this world, what kind of merchandise does he use in tempting us to sin?
The scripture is clear in its description of who he is and what he intends. Being the fallible beings that we are, how can we resist the evil temptations that can draw us away from the True God of heaven who is the Creator of all things? It is God. Who separated the light from the darkness, according to Genesis chapter one, and it is He who separates good and evil through His living Word, Jesus Christ; therefore, it's in Him alone that we have hope and salvation, not in Lucifer, nor in ourselves.
This work is intended to reveal who Lucifer, our great adversary, really is, his attributes, merchandise, and his goals. But, foremost, through this work, the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords will also be revealed..

Countless people are worried, angry, fearful, and just plain confused when it comes to some of the more perplexing issues that life poses and the Bible provokes. Tough Topics provides solid and scriptural answers to 25 such questions. Kelly K. seeks to tackle frustration by looking deeply, not superficially, at what Scripture says, deriving clear and persuasive explanations for these thought-provoking matters. In this deep dive into Scripture, you will learn the answers to these tricky questions: Is it a sin for Christians to drink, smoke, or use medical marijuana? Can you lose your salvation? Is it a sin to live together before marriage? Does God hate piercings and tattoos? Do pets go to heaven? Did Judas go to hell? Are aliens real? If Christians divorce, can they remarry? Can Christians watch horror movies or listen to secular music? What is the unforgivable sin? Do you have to be baptized to go to heaven? And more! We can't walk in the total freedom and peace that Jesus died to give us if we have looming questions about our faith that pastors won't or can't address from the pulpit. This book will arm readers with the biblical truth they need to feel confident in their walk with the Lord.

    Read by the author.
Acclaimed teaching pastor Daniel Grothe speaks to the sense of loneliness that many feel in today's age of hypermobility and noncommittal wandering. He reminds us of the ancient vow of stability and teaches us how to lead a richer life of friendship, community, and purpose.
Unlike previous generations that had to stay put, today we have unprecedented access to a lifestyle of mobility. We can explore and bounce from place to place, never settling down or making anywhere home. While it feels freeing to be able to try something new whenever we want--whether it's a new job, a new city, a new group of friends, or even a new church--somewhere along the way, we discover we're missing something. We may be paying our bills and have a roof over our heads, but we're lonely and unfulfilled, disconnected and unsatisfied. What's that all about? What is the missing piece?

In The Power of Place, pastor Daniel Grothe speaks to the human ache for home and makes a countercultural case for staying put. He calls us to reject the myth of Christian individuality and instead embrace the richness of commitment and community. He argues that we must stay in one place as long as we can, plant our lives, and let roots take hold to experience the deep fulfillment, friendship, and fruitfulness God created us for.

A knockout debut novel that tackles a haunting question: What do our jobs do to our souls?

Seth is a junior copywriter whose latest tagline just went viral. He’s the agency’s hottest new star, or at least he wants his coworker crush to think so. But while he’s busy drooling over his future corner office, the walls crumble around him.

When his job lets him go, he can’t let go of his job. Thankfully, one former colleague can’t let him go either: Robert “Moon” McCloone, a skeezy on-the-rise exec better suited to a frat house than a boardroom. Seth tries to forget Moon and rediscover his spiritual self; he studies Kabbalah with an Orthodox
rabbi by day while popping illegal prescription pills by night. But with each misstep, Seth strays further from salvation—though he might get there, if he could only get out of his own way.

In his debut novel, Ben Purkert incisively peels back the layers of the male ego, revealing what’s rotten and what might be redeemed. Brimming with wit, irreverence, and soul-searching, The Men Can’t Be Saved is a startlingly original examination of work, sex, addiction, religion, branding, and ourselves.
