Beschreibung

They share a passion to heal what is broken, but it's their own hearts that need to be made whole.

Brody McQuaid is a broken man, and he knows it. While his body survived the war, his soul did not. Besides loving his little niece, his only sense of purpose comes from saving the wild horses that roam South Park. Ranchers in the area have taken to killing the horses, which are competing with their cattle to feed on the open grass.

Savannah Marshall is a veterinarian on her family's Colorado ranch. She longs to keep her father happy following the tragic death of her older brother, including marrying a man of his choosing. But days before her wedding, she gets cold feet and disappears to South Park. As she learns more about the destruction of the horses, she joins Brody in an attempt to save the wild creatures. But when Savannah's family and the resentments of the area cattlemen catch up with them both, Brody and Savannah will have to tame their fears if they've any hope to let love run free.

Transform Your Suffering with Tools from Theology, Psychology, and Spiritual Formation
    We don’t like pain.
So, we find creative ways to go around it. We try to ignore, minimize, or deny our suffering, but we're still left hurting.
Drawing on six years of research, When the Journey Hurts untangles common misconceptions about suffering, instead helping you find meaning in it. The authors integrate theology, psychology, and spiritual formation to provide actionable steps and tools that teach you how to suffer well in relationship with God and others.
This book introduces seven key practices to help you uncover meaning in your suffering, equipping you to engage with suffering in a healthy, faithful way: identifying with Christ's suffering; lament; surrender; forgiveness; fratitude; memento mori (remembering our mortality); and weaving our story of suffering into God's story.
Rather than diminishing the weight of your pain, this book is designed to help you transform suffering into an opportunity for spiritual growth and deeper connection with God. With When the Journey Hurts, you'll find that your pain can lead you closer to Jesus.

Journey Towards SpiritualityJapji Sahib EnglishSpiritual bliss
Philosophy of Sikhism is characterized by logic, comprehensiveness and its "without frills" approach to the spiritual and material world. Its theology is marked by simplicity. In Sikh ethics there is no conflict between the individual’s duty to the self and that towards society (sangat).
Sikhism is the youngest world religion founded by Guru Nanak some 500 years ago. It emphasizes the belief in One Supreme Being and the Creator (Waheguru) of the universe. It offers a simple straight path to eternal bliss and spreads a message of love and universal brotherhood. Sikhism is strictly a monotheistic faith and recognizes God as the only One who is not subject to limits of time or space.Sikhism believes that there is only one God, who is the Creator, Sustainer, Destroyer and does not take human form. The theory of  incarnation has no place in Sikhism. It does not attach any value to gods and goddesses and other deities.

We have reached maturity and oneness with our Creator. What does that mean? Et’Yeshua said, “I and my father are one.” ET’Yeshua’s breath is a duplicate of our Creators essence from the beginning of time. When you love yourself, “Creator born within,” all presence of all things are present and alive as our Creator is the breath of life of all things. We all are a duplicate of the essence of our Creator. One unified in love.

Humankind view each other and nature with love and kindness. Health is the outcome of eating from the table of creation and remaining in present time.
Intelligent speech comes from memory of creation and our Creator. Each letter of the Aleph-Tav has an individual meaning that produces a sound and from that sound we have developed beautiful words and lovely songs. Natural nature is a song of love and will speak to you within. Oneness has its own radiant songs and simple but beautiful vocabulary.
Rest and visiting nature on a daily basis develops clear vision and harmony. We are one, perfect and complete with our Creator. Truth loves all of us and shines perfection on all. May we all see and be free!
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free!” (John 8:32, pg. 1033)

How do art and faith intersect? How does art help us see our own lives more clearly? What can we understand about God and humanity by looking at the lives of artists?
Striving for beauty, art also reveals what is broken. It presents us with the tremendous struggles and longings common to the human experience. And it says a lot about our Creator too. Great works of art can speak to the soul in a unique way.
Rembrandt Is in the Wind is an invitation to discover some of the world's most celebrated artists and works and how each of them illuminates something about God, people, and the purpose of life. Part art history, part biblical study, part philosophy, and part analysis of the human experience, this book is nonetheless all story.
From Michelangelo to Vincent van Gogh to Edward Hopper, the lives of the artists in this book illustrate the struggle of living in this world and point to the beauty of the redemption available to us in Christ. Each story is different. Some conclude with resounding triumph while others end in struggle. But all of them raise important questions about humanity's hunger and capacity for glory, and all of them teach us to love and see beauty.
"The artists featured in these pages—artists who devoted their lives and work to what is good, true, and beautiful—remind us that we can, and should, do the same." —Karen Swallow Prior, author of On Reading Well
Accompanying resources, visuals, and an outline of Western art are available in the audiobook companion PDF download.
