Beschreibung

English professor Gavin Dozier hasn't had much luck when it comes to love. When his last boyfriend cheated on him, he was driven to experiment with women. Sex with Marian, though, had its own dangers, and before he knew it, he was a father. Now estranged, the only thing Gavin and Marian have in common is their daughter Evie, a precocious seven-year-old who stays with Gavin every other weekend.
While out with her daddy, Evie meets the heavily-tattooed Brody Phelps, a sketch artist with serious talent who still dresses like a brooding punk rocker, even though he's in his thirties. Brody is instantly attracted to the sexy college professor, but knows Gavin is out of his league -- the man has a kid, which probably means he isn't gay, and besides, Brody never even graduated from high school. Guys like Gavin don't go for guys like him.
But when Evie leaves Gavin's cell phone behind, Brody has the perfect excuse to meet up with them again. To his surprise they hit it off, and when he asks Gavin out, the professor accepts.
Even though Evie brought them together, will her demanding personality pull them apart? Is Gavin ready to trust his heart to someone else again? Can Brody overcome his own fears of inadequacy and let Gavin in? And what will Marian have to say when the father of her child starts dating again?

Dan Cole disappointed his parents when he decided not to go to college. Instead he tried a career as a mixed martial arts fighter. One particularly memorable match was against Casey Shaw, and Dan found it a case of either tap out or pass out. Dan chose the former. To his surprise, Casey invited Dan out for a drink after the match and they agreed to stay in touch. Believing Dan needed a ring name, Casey starts calling him Dan "Cool" Cole.
Dan eventually realizes he'll never make it in MMA. With his parents' help, he hies himself off to college. Specifically, Colby State, the alma mater of both his parents.
Casey, who's already a student at Colby, offers to share an off campus apartment with Dan, who readily agrees. Dan finds it hard to live up to his Cool nickname where Casey is concerned. Dan is attracted to Casey, but Casey believes that as they look so much alike, dating Dan would be like dating his brother.
Casey appears uncomfortable at the number of sex partners Dan has, and Dan is jealous of the time Casey spends with their upstairs hunky neighbor. Will the two former fighters continue to just circle each other, or will they finally get physical and both end up winning?

Richard struggled for much of his life with a mystery. Why was he uneasy and uncomfortable? Why did he feel like an imposter? In his sixties, he made a discovery that would change his life and his creative work. He realized that his life as a man did not fit with who he knew himself to be. He began the journey of transition that led him to emerge in his San Francisco community as "Richelle Lee," leaving "Richard" behind.
This powerful book of poems by Richelle is a magnificent collection of metrical poetry that gifts the reader with honest passion and delightful good humor. Richelle Lee Slota's poems open themselves to the world in private and public "letters" that dare to test a society full of hate and division. These letters/poems are stronger than the terror and rejection the writer faces. The beauty of her rhythm and her emotional honesty--and Richelle's dazzling technical energy--reach out to anyone seeking optimism and hope and provide nourishment. "Catch the cis-brained psyches' sober iambs/write, thrumming clever like a cleaver transgender tie-ins," Richelle writes. See the gifted person who has discarded her dead name and be captivated, enlarged, and changed by this writer of unique and moving poetry, who courageously signs her new name to every poem.

Timeo Nada, editor for Penmen Books, has run into a little prick these days. His sexy and scientific houseman, Gage Need, is missing again. Weirdly, he can never find Gage on some days. Gage keeps talking about physics, molecular what-nots, and time-travel being possible. Unfortunately, Timeo is only drawn to his help's body, and how he's attracted to the man: the way Gage swims in the pool, sunbathes, and sleeps. Timeo cannot get the houseman out of his head and heart, but that doesn't matter now that Gage is missing.

Soon Gage is found. Then rare and unique antiques strangely begin to pile up in the lakeside house, and a phantom blue mist covers the floor outside Gage's bedroom door. Timeo's feelings for Gage start to grow, and he becomes more interested in Gage, questioning the man's activities as a physicist.

When Gage's quasi-boyfriend Chad turns up missing and Gage becomes the number one suspect regarding his disappearance, Timeo attempts to unravel the mystery and his high-strung emotions for Gage. He begins to wonder if Gage is really time-traveling, using the house as a portal? Is the phantom blue mist on the floor from outer space? And has Timeo fallen too hard and fast for Gage to admit he's totally in love with the guy?

    Waylon
I’m a music manager. I’ve taken the smallest artists and made them soar into superstardom. I’m good at what I do, and I never fail.
Except with him. I let him down, and that doesn’t sit right with me.
No. I’ll track Justin St. James down and find a way to make him happy and settled.
    No matter what it takes.
    Justin
I’m so tired of being Justin St. James. Of people invading my space and acting like they own me. Like I owe them for my fame.
It’s all about the music for me. I love it. But the fame . . . I could do without.
So I see my chance, and I take it. Only maybe I didn’t realize just how much Waylon, my manager, did for me. How inexperienced and naive I am.
He thinks I can have it all—that he can find a way for me to be happy. But I’m not so certain that can happen.
I want the music, but I still crave that beautiful veil of privacy.
Is it even possible to have it all?
