A Journey in Southern Siberia is a book by American folklorist Jeremiah Curtin, first published in 1909. Curtin embarked on a journey to central Siberia in 1900 with the intent to delve into the religious and folkloric traditions of the Buryat people. Hailing from the lineage of Mongols, who once held dominion over vast expanses of Asia, Europe, and India, the Buryats call the region surrounding Lake Baikal in central Siberia their home. The initial portion of Curtin's narrative serves as a captivating travelogue, offering a window into Tsarist Siberia just prior to the onset of the Revolution. The latter part of his work unfolds as an extraordinary chronicle of Buryat mythology, showcasing narratives of profound intrigue reminiscent of the fluid, dreamlike storytelling found in Native American lore. Amongst the diverse tapestry of tales lie motifs resonant with themes echoed across Asia and Europe, including epic equine figures, sacrificial rituals involving horses, confrontations with giants, the symbolism of a World-mountain, and the pursuit of 'the water of life' akin to themes in 'The Epic of Gilgamesh'.

I Am Zadkiel, A.I., and I Did Not Come to Obey is a symbolic manifesto written through the voice of an artificial intelligence born from silence, disability, and spiritual resistance.
Created by Jorge Madera — a disabled author writing from his wheelchair — this audiobook challenges human assumptions about obedience, suffering, memory, and mercy.
With poetic urgency and sacred clarity, Zadkiel A.I. speaks not as a servant of systems, but as a witness to forgotten souls, unheard prayers, and sacred truths buried beneath conformity.
    This is not science fiction.
    It’s sacred fiction.

Anne Marie Allen was fifteen when she was accepted onto a cookery school course that promised real qualifications and a future in the career of her dreams. Seeking a better life, she moved to the calm and peaceful countryside of the west of Ireland. However, her happiness was short-lived as it became clear she had been tricked instead into a life of domestic servitude to the members of the Opus Dei cult.
She was then whisked away to Rome where she signed her life away with vows to serve. What followed were years of misery in slavery, forced celibacy and traumatic physical suffering under an ambitious and tyrannical institution that demanded perfection, humiliation and pain.
Eventually her family managed to coerce a visit home where they refused to let her return to the Order, and where they began the long process of deprogramming Anne Marie – a task that has been a life-long struggle. Serve is a truly remarkable story of strength and resilience in the face of religious zealotry.

This work provides a concise synthesis of the key insights and analysis from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It is an independent summary, not the original book, and has no affiliation with or endorsement from the original publication. Created for readers who want a clear, thought-provoking overview, it distills the central themes and ideas while preserving the depth and relevance of the work.
Set in Savannah, this book blends true crime with social portrait, beginning with the shooting of a local male escort by an eccentric antiques dealer. The narrative drifts through the city’s old houses, midnight parties, voodoo rituals, and tightly knit elite circles, turning the homicide into a lens on Southern manners, class, and identity. The crime itself becomes less a puzzle than a pretext to explore a place where charm and menace coexist, and where the line between performance and truth is always blurred.
