Synopsis

Amelia had always been known for her compassionate nature. From a young age, she exhibited a deep empathy towards all living beings, whether they were human or animals. Her friends often marvelled at how she could sense the emotions of others and offer comfort in times of need. It was as if her heart had an innate ability to connect with the pain and joy that surrounded her.
Living in a small village nestled near the edge of a vast, enchanted forest, Amelia found herself in a world where nature's beauty was both her playground and her solace. The village was known for its close-knit community, where everyone looked out for one another. Amelia's compassion naturally found a home here, as she often volunteered to help the elderly, tended to injured birds, and offered a listening ear to those who sought her out.
One cool autumn day, as the leaves began to change their colours and the air carried a hint of impending winter, Amelia decided to take a solitary walk into the heart of the enchanting forest. She had always felt a deep connection to the wild, untouched parts of nature, where she could hear the whispers of the trees and feel the heartbeat of the earth beneath her feet.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, also known as Sin City, anything goes. This is why the Double G's have chosen to set up shop here. Starrshima Fields, aka Starr, is a young, bodacious, and bold beauty. She is also the leader of the Double G's, a powerful and ruthless social club of plus-sized women. Starr is guided by Queen Fem, the founder of the Double G's. Queen Fem set up the group of professionals-by-day, gangster-biker-chicks-by-night to prove that this isn't just a man's world.
The Double G's put the squeeze on their primary targets: men of power and privilege. Blackmail and manipulation are their choice of weapons, and they are skillful in both.
Agent McCarthy has been tracking the Double G's since the founder was at the helm of the organization. For years, he could not infiltrate the group of female radicals, but he has finally managed to plant a seed that could possibly lead to the destruction of the Double G's when the young Starrshima Fields becomes the new face of the group.
As the temperature increases in Las Vegas, so does the pressure the Double G's apply. No man is safe from the Double G's and their manipulative tactics, and anyone who tries to stop them is putting his life in danger. These women are on a mission, and they believe the only way they can accomplish it is by keeping the game and the players in a chokehold!

The host of CBS’s The Late Late Show “takes us on a wild ride in his scintillating debut, a combination caper/morality tale with [a] barbed comic energy” (Kirkus Reviews, starred review).

Two childhood friends from Scotland and two illegitimate half-brothers from the American South suffer and enjoy all manner of bizarre experiences which, as it turns out, are somehow interconnected and, surprisingly enough, meaningful. An eclectic cast of characters includes Carl Jung, Fatty Arbuckle, Virgil, Marat, Socrates, and Tony Randall.

Love, greed, hope, revenge, organized religion, and Hollywood are alternately tickled and throttled as Craig Ferguson’s madcap plot unfolds. Impossible to summarize and impossible to stop reading, this is a romantic comic odyssey that actually delivers—and rewards.

The Irish are world masters at talking. The magic behind our silky, colourful (and non-stop) stories is a little thing called 'blarney', or 'the gift of the gab'. But what is it, you ask, and how can you get some for yourself?
The hilarious A Big Pile of Blarney takes you through the history of Blarney Castle and the legend of the world-famous Blarney Stone (not to mention the famous lips that have puckered up to it). By the time you've finished reading, you too will be overflowing with beguiling blarney know-how and mellifluous oratorical magnetism!

I’m a professional chickenblocker. Except “chicken” is a euphemism. I get paid to follow a womanizing troglodyte who thinks rules are for other people and that my pants are the next pair he’s getting into. Dream on. Bet your first professional job didn’t involve babysitting an extremely hot, muscle-bound Scottish Highlander with an ego the size of a kilt and a libido bigger than his…well… Chicken. Keeping Scottish football (that’s ‘soccer” to us Americans) player Hamish McCormick away from inappropriate scandals while he does product endorsement campaigns is my mission. No problem. Until Hamish decides I’m his next scandal. And maybe more…. Shopping for a Highlander is an enemies-to-lovers, slow burn romance that opens with a surprise kiss and ends with a happily ever after. This sports comedy in the New York Times bestselling Shopping for a Billionaire world contains no actual chickens, but it has plenty of locker room scenes, a fake relationship, very real banter, and more. You do not have to have read the previous books in this world, though after you read about Amy and Hamish, you’ll want to. ;)
