The complete scripts of one of the most urgent and talked-about television series of recent times.
Set in a northern English town, Adolescence tracks the aftermath of the brutal murder of a thirteen-year-old schoolgirl. When her classmate Jamie Miller is arrested in a dawn raid for the crime, his family, psychologist and the detective in charge are all left asking: how could this have happened?
Adolescence gripped audiences and commentators around the world when it was released on Netflix in 2025, sparking headlines and debate about the difficult and vital issues it confronts head on. Also applauded for its technical ingenuity – with each episode presented in one continuous shot, in real time – it became one of Netflix's most-watched series of all time and won numerous accolades, including eight Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes.
This volume contains the full shooting scripts of all four episodes, as well as new insights and commentary from the creators – including writer Jack Thorne, co-writer and star Stephen Graham, and director Philip Barantini – colour photographs, and essays about the issues it explores.

The rise of Great Zimbabwe was shaped by geography, economic opportunities, and social organization, allowing it to become one of Africa’s most influential civilizations. Emerging around the 9th century, the settlement developed into a thriving political and economic center by the 11th century, reaching its peak between the 13th and 15th centuries. Its growth was fueled by abundant natural resources, a strategic location, and participation in regional and international trade.
The Zimbabwean plateau, with its fertile soil and favorable climate, provided ideal conditions for agriculture. The Shona people, who founded Great Zimbabwe, cultivated sorghum and millet, which sustained the growing population. In addition to farming, cattle herding played a crucial role in the economy. Cattle were a measure of wealth and social status, serving as currency in trade and marriage negotiations. The presence of large herds further reinforced the power of the elite, who controlled access to grazing lands and water sources.
Beyond agriculture, Great Zimbabwe’s location made it a key player in long-distance trade. The city was situated between the goldfields of southern Africa and the coastal trade hubs of the Swahili city-states. Gold mining became a major economic activity, with miners extracting the metal from riverbeds and underground deposits. This gold was traded with merchants from Kilwa, Sofala, and other Swahili ports, where it was exchanged for luxury goods such as Persian ceramics, Chinese porcelain, and Indian textiles. The wealth generated from trade allowed Great Zimbabwe to expand, attracting artisans, traders, and skilled laborers.

The Prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel dined with me, and I asked them how they dared so roundly to assert that God spoke to them; and whether they did not think at the time that they would be misunderstood, and so be the cause of imposition.
Isaiah answer'd: `I saw no God, nor heard any, in a finite organical perception; but my senses discover'd the infinite in everything, and as I was then persuaded, and remain confirm'd, that the voice of honest indignation is the voice of God, I cared not for consequences, but wrote.'
Then I asked: `Does a firm persuasion that a thing is so, make it so?'
He replied: `All Poets believe that it does, and in ages of imagination this firm persuasion removed mountains; but many are not capable of a firm persuasion of anything.'

Wallis, Diana and Meghan: Three Wives, One Narrative

One was a married American socialite who embarked on a scandalous affair with the future king of England. Another was an aristocratic ingenue whose winsome charm captured the world’s imagination. And the third was a thirty-something actress whose outspokenness put her on a collision course with the British public. The marriages of Wallis Simpson, Diana Spencer, and Meghan Markle into the British royal family sparked a series of crises that at times seemed to threaten the future of the monarchy itself. In Unroyal, veteran New York Times reporter and former London correspondent Sarah Lyall revisits how each royal wife threatened the stability of—and was ultimately rejected by—this most ancient and opaque of institutions.

Using archival material and interviews with experts like the bestselling author Tina Brown, the royal biographer Andrew Morton, and the social commentator and broadcaster Afua Hirsch, Lyall’s audio documentary examines three pivotal TV interviews in which each woman pushed up against the official royal narrative: Wallis in 1970, Diana in 1995, and Meghan in 2021. Lyall describes the differences and highlights the similarities between the women at these three flexion points to examine the endless codependent dance between the monarchy, the public, and the news media and to shed fresh light on the fraught intersection of power, fame, and family politics in an institution torn between tradition and modernization.

Narrated by the author against a beguiling soundscape of contemporaneous news footage and a spectral score, Unroyal blends the probing inquisition of You’re Wrong About with the historical intrigue of The Crown, serving both neophytes and obsessives a delectable royal feast for the ears.

    Power is not owned.
    It is curated, tested—and revoked.

In The Fetish Syndicate, the fifth installment of the POWER PLAYS series, Cassian Ward explores an underground network where desire is audited, submission is engineered, and intimacy is reduced to controlled transactions.

Across eight interlinked stories, invitations arrive without names, obedience is assessed like a résumé, voices are collected as instruments of control, and bodies are treated as assets—temporary, replaceable, and meticulously observed. Here, power does not seduce. It structures. It listens. It waits.

This is erotic fiction stripped of romance and spectacle, focused instead on psychological dominance, ritualized consent, and the quiet violence of systems that promise experience but deny belonging.

The Fetish Syndicate is a cold, deliberate descent into modern control fantasies—where submission is not a gift, but a qualification.

For readers of slow-burn erotic power dynamics, psychological BDSM fiction, and ritual-driven intimacy.
