Beschreibung

"The Animal Parade That Went the Wrong Way" is a whimsical tale about a parade that turns into a joyous celebration of mistakes, laughter, and unexpected fun. As the annual animal parade begins, things don’t go according to plan: animals forget their routines, the clowns trip over their big shoes, and the marching band plays all the wrong tunes. But instead of feeling frustrated, the animals embrace the chaos, and the parade becomes more fun than anyone could have imagined. Through silly mishaps and joyful moments, this book encourages children to build confidence, embrace their uniqueness, and understand that it’s okay to go with the flow. With humor, heart, and valuable lessons, this story teaches children that sometimes, the best moments in life happen when things don’t go as planned.

These are three stories that will delight your heart and soul. The little girl Ruth in the first story is very privileged young lady with everything she could wish for except,of course, for companionship. Her mother has passed away and her father is a very busy lawyer who barely notices she is there. But then Ruth finds a scruffy, skinny and mostly ugly cat; the cat who lives in the kitchen and cellars, hence The Kitchen Cat. Her attempts to befriend this stray despite insurmountable obstsacles make this story a really heart warming tale. She does eventually find the best kind of companionship but I won't tell you with who or when. Sarah's Sunday Out is the tale of a pampered little dog who wants to see the world and finally The Toad in the Hole is the tale of a somewhat selfish little girl and her lesson in seeing things from anothers' point of view. All are bitter sweet and all are delightful. You will be glad you listened to them. I know I'm glad I read them.

Born in the Arabian Desert in the ninth century, Yatimah is a black Arabian filly whose name means "orphan." She enjoys her life at the oasis, with sheep to tease, other foals to race, and the daughter of her Bedouin owner to take care of her. But when the colt who is her foster brother is stolen in a raid, Yatimah realizes her true birthright. Like Black Beauty, this moving novel is told in first person from the horse's own point of view and includes facts about Arabian horses and Bedouin culture.
