The more I looked, the more obvious it became that the foundation of this complex network of interactions is empathy.
In the pages that follow, we will travel over enormous landscapes of knowledge, learning about the intelligence of indigenous civilizations, the emotional lives of animals, and the urgent need for interdisciplinary cooperation to solve environmental issues. To better grasp our responsibility as custodians of our planet and the larger universe, we shall go from the bottom of our seas to the vastness of space.
