Synopsis

From the very beginning of creation, along with good, evil also arrived in the world. Evil is a broad-meaning word that can include all kinds of wrongdoings like lying, theft, various types of crime, murder, rape, corruption, etc.
Why does a person become a criminal? People interpret this question differently, but it is almost impossible to pinpoint a single solid reason for it.
Many people say that the home environment is responsible for this. Many people blame poverty. Many people blame illiteracy. But it has been seen that all kinds of people—poor, rich, educated, uneducated—have been found involved in crime. Seeing this, it is certain that the reasons given by experts are or are not responsible for this.
Overall, crime has also been mixed with society in every round. As the saying goes, sometimes the criminal is present in the house itself. This has also been proven to be true.
The book presents the heart-wrenching true stories of some of the most heinous global criminals and their crimes. After reading these stories, it can be decided that bad deeds have bad consequences.

Anthony Alioto was diagnosed with end stage renal disease in 1993 and was forced to go on dialysis for several years before receiving a successful kidney transplant in 2000.In The Ninefold Path, he invites readers to join him on a harrowing personal journey through a labyrinth of tests, “what can I expect” meetings with medical staff, surgeries, and near-death experiences. He spares no detail in his desire to provide a guide for others living with a chronic disease – and their families and friends – on how to navigate the oftentimes rough waters of modern medicine. The Ninefold Path is for all of those wearily traveling through chronic illnesses and for those by their sides wondering what to do, it is a celebration of the extraordinary individuals in medicine who relieve the suffering of strangers each and every day. In cataloging detail, there is inspiration, plus a call to compassion and serenity.A Note to the Reader from The Ninefold Path:“The reader can expect to encounter a very personal and human account of chronic illness, sometimes painful, sometimes hilarious, and then at times simply absurd – but, hopefully, also moving. One need not search for profound insights, recipes, therapy, or sage advice. It is my hope that you will come away with a feeling, a sense of being there, maybe a kind of liberation from the ‘merely personal’ as Einstein phrased it, and a new appreciation for what others endure daily. Even in the midst of suffering physical pain and mental anguish, a person may yet gain the freedom to live a life of celebration, joy, compassion, and serenity. Zen Master Kyong Ho once said, ‘Don’t hope for life without problems. An easy life results in a judgmental and lazy mind.’”

Abraham Lincoln and Donald Trump are two of a kind despite terms in office separated by 150-plus years. Both encountered a biased press and deeply divisive political environments after being elected with less than 50 percent of the popular vote. Each was viewed as an ill-equipped outlier and accompanied to office by first ladies ostracized by Washington's elite.
Lincoln was known by those closest to him for his supreme self-confidence, inexhaustible ambition, mean streak, braggadocio, arrogance, vanity, and knack for thriving amid conflict. Ditto Trump. Born to Fight shows that Trump is better understood through the many parallels linking him to Lincoln.

A woman metamorphoses into a giant slug; another quite literally eats her heart out; a wasp falls in love with an orchid; and hair starts sprouting from the walls. These stories slip and slide between genres—from video games to fan fiction, body horror to choose-your-own-adventure—as characters cycle through giddying changes in gender, physiology, species, and identity. Collapsing boundaries between bodies and forms, these fictions interrogate the visceral, gross, and absurd."This book is fucking weird," wrote Brit Mandelo in 2015. It's only gotten weirder since. Slug and Other Stories is a revised and expanded edition of a contemporary cult classic. Now in audio, this collection is a testament to the messy anti-logic of queer feelings by a revelatory new voice.Contains mature themes.
