Synopsis

After an uneventful life through adolescence, Sally Mae became the proverbial late bloomer. Her developing sensual charms, fashionable attire, and new dynamic personality led her to be the most sought after girl in her later teens with a robust love-life that includes her mother and father. Toni helps liberate her neighbor to enjoy real taboo love beyond the spying-with-binoculars variety.

~~~~~ PG Excerpt ~~~~~
In the privacy of her bedroom, Shirley was all smiles as she heard Sally Mae recount her erotic episode with Mr. and Mrs. Jansen and Gregory. “You're one horny girl! I love ya for that and I'm glad you gave up your cherry. Now do you still wanna be my girl with the understanding that we can see other persons?”
“That's a fine offer and I accept. Now tell that other secret that you have,” Sally Mae responded.
“Okay, brace yourself. It started like this; my brother had this steady girl for a long time before the relationship fell apart. He had a hard time getting over it but I came to his rescue, if you know what I mean...”
Before Shirley could get in another word, Sally Mae interrupted, “I'm not sure but maybe I know what you mean if...”
It was Shirley's turn to interrupt, “If you're thinking taboo, you are thinking right.  His heartbreak was short-lived. We made love right then and there and he would come to my bed almost every night. The lingering effects and relaxation felt so good we started seeping together every night. He no longer went back to his own bed. We just knew we were going to get caught eventually and thought it would be hell but we just cared about the present. One morning before we even got dressed, Mom knocked on the door and immediately came in. She said that she knew what had been going on and she blessed our behavior. Can you believe it? She actually approved of her son and daughter having sex together. It wasn't much later we were to find out that our parents were sold on the idea that there must be a good reason why incest is legal here in Rhode Island. From that point on, my father and mother started having foursomes with me and my brother regularly. The beauty is that all four of us loved it and now it's a steady thing. It's not for everybody, but I think you should give it a try. You enjoyed your shindig with Mr. and Mrs. Jansen and Gregory but I bet you'll like incest even better.”
“Okay, ya beautiful girl,” Sally responded in jest. “All your horny talk has got me going but I don't know where to start.”
Shirley chuckled and then said, “Just play the tramp you wanna be. First of all, your parents have surely noticed how sexy you look in your new clothes. Get your mother and father together for what you can call 'a little chat.' Wear your shortest skirt with no panties, and when you cross your legs like a sexy model to show all that pretty bare skin of your thunder thighs, you'll catch some stolen glances. When you uncross those sexy legs, leave 'em spread apart. Their eyeballs are gonna pop out of their sockets.”
    Have We All Gone Mad? Why...
    "With refreshingly clear-sighted analysis, Jerome Booth spells out how political, financial and social groupthink has damaged Britain – and, crucially, how we can tackle it. Highly recommended." – Liam Halligan, Daily Telegraph
    "Most of the worst political decisions of recent years were made when all the mainstream politicians thought the same thing and no one challenged them. Jerome Booth wisely analyses why this situation happens so often and what can be done about it. Every politician and every decision-maker should read this book." – Lord Frost, former Cabinet Office minister
    "It is a long time since I read a book with which I agreed so comprehensively." – Lord Lilley, former Secretary of State
    ***
    We like to think of ourselves as rational, but human beings are fundamentally irrational creatures – and nowhere is that more apparent than in the fug of groupthink we see around us, from the boardroom to social media.
    Of the various forms of collective irrationality, groupthink is particularly dangerous. It involves adherence to a faulty consensus, often has a binary moral dimension (one is seen as either virtuous or evil) and is sustained through fear to challenge. Counter-intuitively, the most intelligent and erudite amongst us are particularly susceptible, and when groupthink takes hold, vigorous efforts are made to shut down debate and to bully and punish transgressors.
    As a result, toleration, liberalism, history, reason and science are under threat. Mass groupthink amongst both the elite and the masses affects millions of people. It has led to financial mismanagement leading up to the 2008 crisis and beyond; poor decision-making at the onset of Covid-19; exaggerated, unchallenged claims which have motivated nonsensical policies; and distortions in academia and journalism.
    In this remarkable and prescient book, Dr Jerome Booth investigates why some of us have abandoned reason in favour of trite memes, intolerance and hatred. Have we all gone mad? Or can we identify the patterns and causes of what is happening and try to stop it?
    Ugh As If!: Clueless
    A sweet and sly exploration of the Jane Austen–inspired teen movie and its evergreen imperative to be kind, do better, and find the activist within
    We are totally butt-crazy in love with Clueless. Since the movie’s premiere in 1995, pop culture has mined Amy Heckerling’s high school comedy for inspiration, from Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX’s “Fancy” music video to Cher’s iconic yellow plaid suit appearing at every Halloween party.
    In Ugh As If!, Veronica Litt argues that this seemingly fluffy teen romp is the quintessential thinking woman’s movie, one in which the audience is asked to seriously consider the beauty and power of naïveté. Cher Horowitz’s gradual pivot from oblivious it girl to burgeoning activist is a powerful reminder that even the most unlikely people can change for the better and contribute to their communities. In this bright, shiny film, pursuing a more just society isn’t just possible — it’s enjoyable. This fun, feminine, feel-good movie is a counter-narrative to nihilism, a refusal to give into cynicism, hopelessness, and passivity. Almost without viewers noticing, Clueless teaches Cher, and us, how to become better. Like the film it examines, Ugh As If! nudges even the most jaded viewer into feeling hopeful about the future.
    The many lives and tragic death of Harry Freame, the Anzac hero betrayed by his nation.
    Harry Freame was the first Australian to win the Distinguished Conduct Medal at Gallipoli. Raised as a samurai, he risked his life again and again to scout the beaches and hills of the battlefield, reporting invaluable intelligence back to his officers and relieving stranded soldiers who otherwise would surely have died. Some say he should have got the VC but didn't because he was half-Japanese, a fact he tried hard to conceal.
    After the war, Harry (real name Henry Wykeham Koba Freame) became a soldier settler and champion apple grower. But when Japan emerged as a perceived threat to Australia, Harry was recruited into Australian intelligence to spy on the Japanese community in Sydney. Before Japan's entry into World War II, Australia opened a diplomatic legation in Tokyo, and Harry was sent as a translator - but his real role was a spy. Extraordinarily, his cover was leaked by the Australian press, and the Japanese secret police tried to assassinate him not long after his arrival in Tokyo in 1941. Harry died back in Australia a few weeks later, but his sacrifice has never been acknowledged by Australia.
    Until now. Featuring never-before-seen material, The Bravest Scout at Gallipoli is a fascinating and immersive investigation into a grievous historical wrong.
