Synopsis

When bakery owner Clara Bennett organizes her small town's annual Pumpkin Festival, she expects pumpkin spice and everything nice—not a deadly dose of poison in the prize-winning pie. After the town's most disliked food critic collapses during the baking competition, Clara finds herself at the center of a murder investigation with more suspects than pumpkin varieties. Teaming up with her book club friends and a skeptical but charming local detective, Clara must sift through a patchwork of lies, rivalries, and long-buried secrets. From sabotaged recipes to hidden motives, every clue leads deeper into the community's dark underbelly. But as the festival continues and the killer remains at large, Clara realizes the next poisoned dessert might have her name on it.
