Synopsis

🎭 History teacher and community theater director Priscilla Pilgrim is directing the town's annual Thanksgiving pageant when the play's wealthy producer—a notorious historical revisionist—is found dead backstage, tangled in Mayflower rigging with a suspiciously altered script in hand. The police suspect a tragic accident, but Priscilla notices the historical costumes have been deliberately misrepresented and the victim's production notes contain coded messages about historical fraud. With the pageant's opening night approaching and the historical society in an uproar, Priscilla must rewrite the script to uncover the truth. Assisted by her drama students and the handsome museum curator analyzing historical artifacts, Priscilla uncovers a scheme involving artifact forgery, historical document theft, and a plot to rewrite local history for profit. From suspicious fabric dyes that reveal modern materials to prop documents that don't match the period, every costume piece tells a story. But when Priscilla discovers the victim was systematically altering historical records to claim ancestral land rights, she realizes the killer is protecting historical truth more valuable than any production budget. With opening night hours away and the real historical forger still staging deception, Priscilla must direct the investigation before her own reputation gets permanently cast aside.
