Synopsis

📚 When the body of a wealthy literary patron is discovered in the rare books room of the "Chapters & Crimes" bookshop, owner and former English teacher Maeve Bennett finds herself at the center of a real-life whodunit. The victim was found clutching a first edition Agatha Christie, with a cryptic bookmark left as the only clue. With the police convinced the killer is someone from her literary circle, Maeve must use her knowledge of classic mysteries to clear her name and those of her fellow book club members. Assisted by her literary-minded golden retriever, Poe, and a reluctant local detective who's more familiar with crime reports than crime fiction, Maeve uncovers a plot thicker than a Russian novel. From forged manuscripts and stolen first editions to secret literary rivalries, every chapter reveals a new suspect.
