Synopsis

🎡 The annual Summer Solstice Carnival in the small town of Pleasant Valley is a highlight of the year, filled with bright lights, cotton candy, and joyful screams. But the fun turns to horror when the carnival's owner, a man as beloved as he was secretly resented, is found dead at the base of the iconic Ferris wheel. The police initially rule it a tragic accident, but local bakery owner and part-time ride operator, Penny Frost, notices the safety harness has been subtly tampered with. When the victim's ledger—a cryptic record of everyone in town who owed him money—goes missing, Penny becomes a target herself. With help from her mischievous terrier, Sprinkles, and the carnival's charming, mysterious new electrician, Penny uncovers a web of secrets under the glittering lights. From rigged game stalls and financial blackmail to a decades-old feud between carnival families, every clue points to a killer who knows the carnival inside and out. As the final night of the carnival approaches, Penny must piece together the puzzle before the killer decides to shut down her investigation for good.
