Synopsis

🥖 Beatrice "Bea" Crumb owns the most popular bakery on Baker Street, but her world turns upside down when a rival baker is found dead in his own shop—with one of Bea's signature sourdough loaves as the murder weapon. The police see an open-and-shut case of competitive rage, but Bea knows her bread would never be used for such a nefarious purpose. With her business crumbling faster than a dry scone, Bea must rise to the occasion and prove her innocence. Assisted by her bookish apprentice and the charming coffee shop owner next door, Bea follows a trail of flour-dusted clues. From a suspiciously perfect croissant that reveals baking sabotage to a mysterious flour code written in spilled semolina, every baked good tells a story. But when Bea discovers the victim was investigating a recipe theft ring targeting local bakers, she realizes the killer might be part of a much larger conspiracy. With the real criminal still at large and the annual Baker Street Bake-Off approaching, Bea must knead through the lies before she becomes the next victim in a town where some competitions turn deadly.
