Synopsis

👗 Vintage apron collector and sewing café owner Stitch Morgan is hosting a 1950s-themed bake-off when the town's most notorious recipe thief is found strangled with a rare collector's apron string in her own kitchen. The police suspect a crime of passion, but Stitch recognizes the intricate knot as one used by a secretive sewing circle from the 1950s. With her vintage collection under scrutiny and her café's reputation fraying, Stitch must thread together an investigation. Assisted by her quilting group and the handsome historian researching local textile traditions, Stitch uncovers a tangled web involving stolen family recipes, fabric counterfeiting, and a decades-old cooking competition scandal. From suspicious stitch patterns that form a hidden map to fabric dyes that reveal chemical anomalies, every textile tells a story. But when Stitch discovers the victim was blackmailing members of the town's oldest families about their grandmothers' recipe secrets, she realizes the killer is someone who values family honor above all else. With the annual heritage festival approaching and the real culprit still weaving deception, Stitch must cut through the tangled threads before her own strings get permanently tied off.
